License tagging for Image:Flirtbox-logo.png

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Flirtbox-logo.png. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 10:06, 30 September 2007 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of Flirtbox

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Flirtbox, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia per CSD a7.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the article and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the page's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. Leuko 11:34, 30 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop. If you continue to ignore our policies by introducing inappropriate pages to Wikipedia, such as Flirtbox (trademark), you will be blocked. —C.Fred (talk) 22:05, 30 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The article for Flirtbox (trademark) was deleted because it provided no context for which to determine what the trademark was for or how it might be determined to be notable. As a general rule, a trademark, in and of itself, is not notable—especially since it's likely a mark for the website, which was also deleted for failing the website notability criteria. —C.Fred (talk) 22:12, 30 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It has not failed the notablity criteria - it was just not detailed and good enough yet as far as the structure is concerned. —Toby78

I can not write a really long article at once...I already wanted to start it and continue to complete it within the next days and weeks. You don't even give me a chance to write anything and you have deleted all the work I have done in the last hour.

It is out of the question that it is a notable website as it is:

- a well known dating site in the United Kingdom, but nobody has bothered to write an article yet. - a trademark and there where several trials in the past due to the domain name. - a company and the detailed company information would be added in the future.

And if you look at article such as Flirtomatic I wonder why these kind of article are allowed after all....it is clear advertising. I suspect you are working for Flirtomatic.

Hi, there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot 22:30, 30 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
