RE 2007 NBA Draft page[edit]

Why did you undo my add of Trey Johnson entering and then exiting the 2006 NBA Draft? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Todd landreth (talkcontribs)

Because that is the 2007 draft, that edit had nothing to do with the 2007 draft. KOS | talk 01:36, 29 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Teahen and Reitsma[edit]

Both men have Canadian-American dual citizenship, but both were born in the U.S. There is no reason to give them a Canadian flag. They were born here, they are citizens here.►Chris Nelson 20:38, 1 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for Image:Swinging.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Swinging.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Image copyright problem with Image:Volstad112.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Volstad112.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Image copyright problem with Image:Newmcandrew.png[edit]

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Newmcandrew.png. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI 23:49, 18 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for Image:LNCHS.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:LNCHS.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 21:11, 15 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for File:Dover Motorsports 4C.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Dover Motorsports 4C.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check:

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's escription page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Nomination of 2007 Florida Marlins Draft for deletion[edit]

A discussion has begun about whether the article 2007 Florida Marlins Draft, which you created or to which you contributed, should be deleted. While contributions are welcome, an article may be deleted if it is inconsistent with Wikipedia policies and guidelines for inclusion, explained in the deletion policy.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/2007 Florida Marlins Draft until a consensus is reached, and you are welcome to contribute to the discussion.

You may edit the article during the discussion, including to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. Muboshgu (talk) 23:05, 25 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article 2007 Florida Marlins Draft has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

This article is unnotbale and full of many players that will never be. It contains nothing other than a chart, and has no facts about what happened to these players. Plus, there are no other articles like this on the site that I know of.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. SOXROX (talk) 19:24, 28 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
