proper punctuation[edit]

In this edit you wrote:

103-126

But the correct punctuation is this:

103–126

One uses an en-dash, not a hyphen, in ranges of pages, ranges of years, ranges of letters of the alphabet, and all ranges of numbers. Michael Hardy (talk) 18:02, 25 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

It would be good to add a reference to your recent edit at Salvatore Scarpitta. Einar aka Carptrash (talk) 21:06, 25 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Done. Thx--Toploftical (talk) 00:38, 26 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Punctuation[edit]

Please note my edits to William Clement (academic). An en-dash rather than a hyphen is used for ranges of years or pages or other numbers. (And also for certain parenthetical offsets.) Michael Hardy (talk) 18:21, 8 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

January 2020[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Contributor321. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, University of California, Santa Cruz, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Edits[edit]

Hi, you made a couple of edits to the Alan Dershowitz. A couple of friendly suggestions. First, please place all citations at the end of the sentence. We do not place cites in the middle of sentences, per wikipedia policy. Second, please do not add wikilinks to source like here [1] where you the cite added had Los Angeles Times wikilinked, this causes huge numbers of links that are not needed. Thanks! I have cleaned up both in my edits, you can check it out. Thanks! :-) Jtbobwaysf (talk) 06:52, 22 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Russ Hamilton (disambiguation) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G14 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an orphaned disambiguation page which either

  • disambiguates only one extant Wikipedia page and whose title ends in "(disambiguation)" (i.e., there is a primary topic);
  • disambiguates zero extant Wikipedia pages, regardless of its title; or
  • is a redirect with a title ending in "(disambiguation)" that does not target a disambiguation page or page that has a disambiguation-like function.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time. Please see the disambiguation page guidelines for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.
