The article i will be choosing to analyze and contribute to is"The Social Construction of Gender". I hope to add more details and find more information of the topic in regards to the views of gender, the stereotypes, and how the world opposes certain groups of people. I will be focusing on conducting research on how the problem can be handled, solved, based on good information from reliable sources. Reliable sources that can support me in any claims i include within this assignment that will go in depth about the article i choose to help readers understand.

I would like to put this quote from my contribtution, As stated, There are also other factors considered that have an effect on gendered behavior,“ethnicity, economic status, educational level, sexual orientation and social context influence the kind of masculinity that men construct and contribute to differential health risks among men in the United States” (Courtenay) in the first section of the page "Social Construction of Gender" right after the second sentence that is in the beginning of the article. To be specific the sentence is "Some supporters of this theory argue that the differences in behavior between men and women are entirely social conventions, whereas others believe that behavior is influenced by universal biological factors to varying degrees, with social conventions having a major effect on gendered behavior.
I want to include the quote from my contribution, " "Research indicates that men and boys experience comparatively greater social pressure than women and girls to endorse gendered societal prescriptions — such as the strongly endorsed health-related beliefs that men are independent, self-reliant, strong, robust and tough" in the section titled" Social Change" in paragraph one with the start of the next sentence being the concluding sentence. The concluding sentence that existed on wikipedia says,"
Certain legislation can promote equality for men and women, which could call into question whether there needs to be two categories of gender at all (if both are treated equally). Social change relies on an understanding of how inequality is rooted in gender accomplishment.
I would like to input this sentence from my contribution," The perspective on men and how they “Do Their Gender”, and how they overthink and stress in their daily lives to achieve these standards that society has placed in their minds." in the first paragraph under the section titled, "Applications of Gender Performance" after cite [26]
