Hi Spiderone, I am not in any way affiliated with the brand for which the article is being written, nor am I a paid writer. I am a budding writer seeking to build my portfolio professionally. One of the ways I have chosen to do so is to seek out notable brands in Nigeria that I think are deserving of a good platform like wikipedia, and write their stories. I know and respect the rules of Wiki, hence the reason I only saved my work to draft. I assure you that those articles would go through proper scrutiny and polishing before final publication. I appeal to you to grant me access to my work. Thank you. Toyinchristy (talk) 10:23, 12 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Toyinchristy. The nature of your edits, such as the one you made to Draft:Biswal Limited, gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Toyinchristy. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Toyinchristy|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Spiderone(Talk to Spider) 12:47, 11 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Spiderone, I am contesting the deletion of my work because I am not in any way affliated to this brand, and neither am I paid to write. I enjoy writing for companies in Nigeria, and I know that a way to put the good companies on the map, is to put them up on Wikipedia. Please note how I write at random for companies that do not have anything in common. I chose to keep my articles in draft because I would have ensured that before I publish, I would not be breaking any rules. I would appreciate it if I could at least retrieve my work as I laboured myself grey just so I could do something beneficial. Thanks. Toyinchristy (talk) 16:36, 11 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Deb. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions have been undone because they appeared to be promotional. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted; Wikipedia articles should be written objectively, using independent sources, and from a neutral perspective. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you.Deb (talk) 12:49, 11 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Deb, thank you for your message. However, I am not in any way affiliated with the company for which I write. This is a notable leading telecommunications brand in Lagos, Nigeria, and I was surprised to see no existing page on Wikipedia. I am law-abiding, and this article is under scrutiny and not yet subject to publishing. I have been taking my time to ensure that when I decide to publish it, I will not be flouting any of Wiki's rules. I only saved it in my draft, and to my greatest surprise, my article was deleted. I would appreciate it if I could at least retrieve my work as I laboured myself grey just so I could do something beneficial. Thanks. Toyinchristy (talk) 16:30, 11 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You can appeal the deletions at User talk:Deb or WP:DRV Spiderone(Talk to Spider) 21:38, 12 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Your article was deleted because you did not adhere to the neutral point of view policy. Phrases like "delivering high-quality... services" and "Renowned for its expertise..." are inherently subjective and promotional, and must not be used. Deb (talk) 13:12, 15 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
