Bhs
[edit]Hi Tramlink, welcome to Wikipedia. I'm just leaving a message regarding your changes to Basingstoke in which you have twice now replaced Bhs with BHS in the link to the retailer. As I said in my edit comments, BHS is a disambiguation page, and Bhs is the correct article on the company.
Firstly some advice, since you're new, you can change the text which appears as the link to an article without changing the article you're linking to, by using the pipe character |. In this case [[Bhs|BHS]] would produce a link to Bhs but with the text BHS.
However, I consider that unneccessary since Bhs is the company's preferred current acronym. If you read the article concernced, you will see this is stated. Also, I advise you to note the comapny's logo, and visit their website Bhs.co.uk in which they always refer to themselves as 'Bhs'. For example on the about page 'Philip Green bought Bhs from the Storehouse Group'.
I hope this clears up the reasons for my revert, and if I can explain anything further feel free to make a comment on my talk page. Cheers, └ UkPaolo/talk┐ 09:54, 20 January 2006 (UTC)
Milton Keynes
[edit]If indeed User Talk:194.159.30.20 was you who changed all references to "city" on Milton Keynes to "town" and all references to "town" to "village", then please read Talk:Milton Keynes before you do so again. The article makes very clear at Milton Keynes#City status what the legal status is, and it is extremely pedantic to use the nice legal designations in an international encyclopedia. This little British charade is not understood anywhere else - please read the article City#The difference between towns and cities. The constituent towns of the city are towns, not villages. The article is incomprehensible if the term "town" is used throughout - the reader is confused by the word "town" in one context to mean the "City designate" (good term - will try to work it in) and in another to mean (say) Bletchley. You recognised this when you changed them all to "village". --Concrete Cowboy 17:37, 17 March 2006 (UTC)
- Your last edit to Milton Keynes is fair (== equal, good) one that I can't disagree with. Thanks for reading the discussion. --Concrete Cowboy 20:04, 19 March 2006 (UTC)
Corinne Lamberth Paper
[edit]Hello, I saw you created the Aquaphilia(fetish) article back in 2007 and am wondering if you have access to the paper by Corinne Lamberth from 1998 on the psychology of the subject. I would also be very interested in getting an insight into the "Aquaphiles Journal" by Phil Bolton – maybe there is a Link I can feed the Wayback Machine? I am planning to write my bachelor thesis on this little written about topic so any sources are helpful. Best, --Jafschmidt (talk) 18:38, 22 June 2017 (UTC)
