German "acting presidents"[edit]

Hi, could you please take a look at recent "improvents" regarding the "acting President" of Germany, now supposedly Horst Seehofer. Thanks, Deposuit (talk) 14:25, 17 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Umais Bin Sajjad requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Yasht101 07:37, 28 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

No problem with that. Btw: I didn't create the article but rather tagged it for deletion after userfying the content. Travelbird (talk) 07:39, 28 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

About the speedy deletion of Vera Peiffer[edit]

Dear admninistrator. You deleted so fast the article that I did not have the chance to save the file. She is actually a notable writter. If you gave me the chance to improve the article I would have done it. Contrary, you deleted it in a few seconds. I find it better to give a day or at least some hours (but not seconds) before you delete an article. Otherwise, it seems very rude to delete it immediatelly before someone can improve it. Its kind of fascism 688dim (talk) 16:48, 28 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please note that I was not the one that deleted this article. An administrator did. Also note that all article must adhere to strict WP:Notability guidelines as not avoid self- and fan promotion. And lastly, you had over and hour to either improve the article or give reasons as to why it should be kept. Unfortunately with the many spammers here on the site, we cannot wait indefinitely for new articles to be improved. If you feel that you can truely prove notability as per above guidelines, you can request that the article be restored via the process explained at Wikipedia:Requests for undeletion. But do make sure you fully understand the notability guidelines and the undeletion process fully before doing so. Travelbird (talk) 18:04, 28 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

One piece restaurant[edit]

I was sure that must be a mistranslation - otherwise shades of Oliver Twist... Seems not - anime (and do some of them have weird titles...). Anyway, what I popped in to say was this - if anything has an address and phone number, slap a spam tag on as well as anything else. That's as clear cut as "We offer the finest solutions to all your problems. Call us now...". Cheers. Peridon (talk) 16:14, 1 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding your speedy deletion of Pho.to[edit]

The article was deleted under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Apparently there was not enough proof provided that the service is significant enough to be included in the encyclipedia. I believe it is though and would like to ask you how should i better substantinate this fact. Reviews from trustworthy sources, ratings or number of daily hits? Won't it be seen as advertising? Also was the rest of the article ok or should i make any further improvements on it? Thanks in advance. --Direfish (talk) 13:04, 4 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Reasons to keep this page:

  • The article should be kept because relevant for the page Captive portal. That page contains a comprehensive list of the opensource/commercial captive portals on the market. Deleting that page will result in a missing item in that list
  • the page describe the internal architecture of the product (from a technical prospective)
  • The Captive portal page contains few software similar to Recaptive that are abandoned or that never arrive on the market
  • Recaptive is relevant because introduce a new way to offer free Internet connections — Preceding unsigned comment added by Fcrippa (talkcontribs) 00:08, 4 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion[edit]

Thanks for the speedy deletion of the page I was creating. I did not think it was what you think it was but "No biggy" — Preceding unsigned comment added by Havchat (talkcontribs) 15:05, 24 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of BuddyGo[edit]

Crowdfunding (US)[edit]

Please see my response at Talk:Crowdfunder (US). Notability of the subject is supported by independent coverage by several well respected sources.--Nowa (talk) 15:56, 25 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

There is a difference between crowdfunding (the concept) and Crowfunder (the company) : One is notable - the other one is a start up and is not notable (yet). 15:58, 25 November 2012 (UTC)
I responded to your comment on Talk:Crowdfunder (US), but I see that User:Peridon is attempting to delete the talk page since the page itself is non-existent. Is your talk page a better place to continue the discussion?--Nowa (talk) 16:58, 25 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding your A7 speedy deletion tag on allcarwiki[edit]

The website meets the critirea of a unique and interesting website. Noting that the subject of the website is car specifications, it is unique in that it is the only car specification database that is user generated and user editable, it differentiates itself from brief encyclopedias like wikipedia as mentioned on the talk page. I noticed that you posted a pre-written message to my talk page regarding this, it does not appear that you visited to talk page to review my contention. As it appeared that your tag was a semi-automated response, I have removed the tag. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Danben77 (talkcontribs) 04:30, 26 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Your article has been deleted because the website in question does not meet Wikiepdia's criteria as per Wikipedia:Notability. Travelbird (talk) 04:32, 26 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding Happy Palace Group of Schools[edit]

Hello Travel Bird,

I am trying to make this page as informational as possible. I can assure you that it is meant for informational purposes, rather than promotional.

Kindly if you can highlight those areas which you think shouldn't be included, ill be grateful to you.

Regards,

Hassan Khan,

Student, University of Cambridge. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ha55ank4an (talkcontribs) 07:30, 27 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately there are multiple issues with the page: Apart from the questionable notability of these schools, phrases such as "Spacious and fully ventilated classrooms" and "HPGS System is indebted to its founding members, who are still committed to play a role in the ongoing process of social enlightenment of this nation’s youth." are too promotional for an encylopedia. In addition from the text I strongly suspect that you copied it from a printed brochure which would be a breach of copyright and is also not permitted. Travelbird (talk) 07:33, 27 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Changes made to Happy Palace Group of Schools[edit]

Hello Again,

I am new to Wikipedia. I have made changes that you have highlighted, and I apologise if you thought the material was for promotional purpose. I have taken material from the website of my school: www.hpgs.edu.pk.

If you think that the page has become encyclopaedic now, can you please remove the tag now? Also, can you guide me how to create an information box for my school?

Thanking you in anticipation.

regards,

Hassan. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ha55ank4an (talkcontribs) 07:58, 27 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

As I mentioned earlier, you are not allowed to take material from the website of your school. That is a breach of copyright and not allowed here except in very specific circumstances and through a very specific and complicated process. Travelbird (talk) 19:02, 27 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
