Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Travellover1222, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Viren Kapadia, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines, and may not be retained.

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the Teahouse, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{help me}} on this page, followed by your question, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Information icon Please do not delete or edit legitimate talk page comments, as you did at Talk:Viren Kapadia. Such edits are disruptive, and may appear to other editors to be vandalism. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. You don't simply delete a post by another editor on an article talk page. Not ever. This is disruptive editing, and can lead to a block for the editor who does it. Reply to the comments if you disagree, but don't simply remove them. DES (talk) 18:49, 3 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not remove maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Viren Kapadia, without resolving the problem that the template refers to, or giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your removal of this template does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Thank you. DES (talk) 00:22, 4 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

There is a serious problem with the sourcing at Viren Kapadia. I have attempted to point out sources that have problems, or that do not contribute to the notability of the subject on Talk:Viren Kapadia. You deleted that talk page post (see warning about that above), which suggests that you aren't interested in fixing this, or perhaps don't realize how serious a problem this is. Please read or re-read Notability and WP:NBIO. I am willing to work with you to help get this article into better shape, but I can't and won't do so without your help or against your opposition. I can, however, nominate the article for deletion. I would prefer not to do that. But this is a case of improve or delete, in my view. DES (talk) 00:29, 4 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Sources

[edit]

I am sorry for deleting your comments. I am confused about which sources to exactly use and this is my first article that I have ever written! Am I allowed to put citations about organizations and companies that Viren Kapadia has been interviewed about or has press releases about? Also, how many independent sources do I need exactly?
