Rosamund Pike's birthday

Hi Trillfendi, while I do consider it likely that Pike was born in January, Aquarius actually stretches well into February, doesn't it? --Niels Wrschowitz (talk) 09:06, 14 July 2021 (UTC)

@Niels Wrschowitz: Aquarians can be born in February too but according to this business registry she was born in January regardless (though the date is redacted for everyone in this system). Trillfendi (talk) 12:37, 14 July 2021 (UTC)

Behavior

Hello there! I know you are the creator of the Hoyeon page but I think your attitude needs to be toned down. There will be other editors coming and going when editing her edit page, but if it is changed, either fix it or add a note informing future editors what changes you do not want changed. You are your own editor here, so please make sure to stay professional. Btspurplegalaxy (talk) 16:09, 14 October 2021 (UTC)

@Btspurplegalaxy: What I will not do is sit by and watch a legacy be erased. Trillfendi (talk) 17:42, 14 October 2021 (UTC)
It doesn't have to be erased but just watch your tone. You don't have to cuss up a storm just because something was changed. Btspurplegalaxy (talk) 17:45, 14 October 2021 (UTC)
@Btspurplegalaxy: I'm sorry you feel that way. When you create a page that has random people ransacking it and calling the subject "hot" maybe you'll understand the missionary zeal and righteous indignation. I'm not saying it's right, I'm not saying it's wrong, Trillfendi (talk) 17:59, 14 October 2021 (UTC)
You do not own the articles you create, so there's no need to heavily monitor it. It doesn't matter that you created it as any article here is open to be edited by all users. Of course there will be edits that are not constructive but they can simply be reverted. She has skyrocketed in popularity so it's normal that her page will get a lot of traffic and that there will be pesky IP users from time to time but it's not something that can't be regulated. Btspurplegalaxy (talk) 18:14, 14 October 2021 (UTC)
@Btspurplegalaxy: The thing is you've never seen me say I "own" the article. I said there is a certain stake one feels when they create a page and have tracked the subject's career for years. Meanwhile, skyrocketing in popularity doesn't mean that important details get thrown out with the bathwater for the sake of a fad. Twice already I've had to have this page protected (and guess what... anyone else can ask for the same thing). Trillfendi (talk) 18:32, 14 October 2021 (UTC)
Anyways my main point to you is just watch your tone. I'll leave you with that. Btspurplegalaxy (talk) 18:41, 14 October 2021 (UTC)

Agency information for Hoyeon

Hi - Hope all is well. We know that Hoyeon's page is getting hit by a ton of updates. We are guilty of this as we had tried to update the link to our agency in her profile a few days ago [1]. We have noticed that the agencies listed have changed and no longer reflect the correct full list agencies that manage her and are listed in models.com [2] This includes the removal of Nomad Management from her page. Just wanted to point it out to you rather than clog the updates and do it incorrectly. Thank you for creating her page.

Nomad Creative (talk) 23:47, 17 October 2021 (UTC)

@Nomad Creative: Somebody unwisely removed it despite it being sourced right there in the infobox. I have now reinstated it, because she is still, of course, on the board. And I appreciate your recognition, I knew she was a star all the way back then. Now she's a supernova. Trillfendi (talk) 15:11, 18 October 2021 (UTC)

Rachel Weisz's age.

Hi, I was the one who changed Rachel Weisz's birth year to "1970 or 1971". I read the talk page discussion pertaining Weisz's age and the "confirmation" of her 1970 birth year revolved around a primary source (a Birth Registry/Index) with mentions that it can be accessed through genealogy websites like Ancestry.com. WP:BLPPRIMARY and WP:ANCESTRY.COM state against using primary sources. WP:BLPPRIMARY states: "Do not use ... other court records, or other public documents, to support assertions about a living person. Do not use public records that include personal details, such as date of birth ...", as I also noticed that you had added a citation to primary sources (Birth registry) through a genealogy website (Findmypast) similar to Ancestry.com. As it stands, it looks like non-primary, reliable sources have given conflicting birth years, either 1970 or 1971. Clear Looking Glass (talk) 22:49, 20 October 2021 (UTC)

Elizabeth Sulcer

Hello. I come here because I believe you to be very knowledgeable about the fashion industry and what merits inclusion on Wikipedia. The article Elizabeth Sulcer is about a stylist. For context, this article came to light at the COI noticeboard in this discussion. It appears a user started a number of articles about friends and family. The conflict of interest aside, my main question for you, is this stylist notable? (Please note, as a result of the COI discussion the article has seen some trimming in the last 24 hours.) Cheers, --SVTCobra 22:31, 2 November 2021 (UTC)

@SVTCobra: I would say she is a notable stylist in that she has styled notable people (for example, Bella Hadid) at notable events (e.g. Cannes Film Festival) where the red carpet is as important as the movie or award. Trillfendi (talk) 22:42, 2 November 2021 (UTC)
OK, thanks. I find it fascinating that you cited an example that's not even in the article. Thanks again, --SVTCobra 22:57, 2 November 2021 (UTC)

Ways to improve Chaikra Shanti Maximus

Hello, Trillfendi,

Thank you for creating Chaikra Shanti Maximus.

I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:

Hi Trillfendi! I just reviewed your article Chaikra Shanti Maximus as part of WP:NPP's November Backlog drive. I tagged it with the notability tag for WP:BIO - That's mostly because a lot of the sourcing seems to be trivial coverage. You might think about trying to find more coverage specific to her, rather than the passing mentions she has in a lot of them. That said, I think the two awards may be enough to meet notability.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|ThadeusOfNazereth}}. Remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.

Delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.

ThadeusOfNazerethTalk to Me! 21:10, 3 November 2021 (UTC) @ThadeusOfNazereth: Thanks for reviewing. I understood notability would be a concern (not that much info can be found for now, but then again she’s still a teenager) but in my opinion the Financial Times interview and Vogue choosing her as one of the top new models of the season satisfied the smallest part of notability beyond the campaigns and what not. Trillfendi (talk) 21:29, 3 November 2021 (UTC)

Hello again! Coming back to that interview with fresh eyes this morning, I agree w/you - I think it's in-depth enough to supplement the others, and with the awards we're probably fine. As an aside, when I leave talk page comments with the page curation workflow, I almost never look at the user beforehand - Had I seen the paragraph you had on discussing notability/NMODEL, I would've left it alone :). Hi Trillfendi, I just accepted this article about a model from the Warhol era. It needs some sprucing and thought you might be interested, although you likely have enough on your plate. S0091 (talk) 01:08, 14 November 2021 (UTC)

Greetings, my expert of modern fashion models! I added a few Coperni video images to model articles, but I would like you to check the one I put on Adut Akech. It's a great image in itself, and it is from https://vimeo.com/523710704 which says it contains Adut Akech, and from comparing it to other images of her it should be an image of Adut Akech, but considering the incident in her article documented at https://www.cnn.com/style/article/adut-akech-who-magazine-error-intl-scli/index.html I really, really, really don't want to put up a picture of a different model and get it wrong. Could you please double check and confirm that yes, this is her? Thank you! --GRuban (talk) 15:20, 16 November 2021 (UTC)

When you said we literally cannot put [[ ]] on a nonexistent article,[1] did you mean to say that we should include Holly's most complete (and sourceable) name because she doesn't have her own article and that it would be appropriate to simply link Bryana Holly once she does have her own article? KyleJoantalk 17:37, 26 January 2022 (UTC)

@KyleJoan: Pretty much. Trillfendi (talk) 17:47, 29 January 2022 (UTC)
Well, WP:BLPPRIVACY applies in all BLP articles, so that name's inclusion in an article about Holly would also be a violation of that policy. The overarching point about whether to include the name is not that it would be in Holly's article, therefore, it should be in Hoult's article; it is that it wouldn't be in Holly's article, therefore, it shouldn't be in Hoult's article. Model images advice

I found a Creative Commons Attribution licensed video from Paco Rabanne and was able to extract images for 10 models that we had articles for but no images. Most were written by you. So, first: hope you like! Second, I'd like your advice. I made a headshot and a full length image from each for each article; some images are better than others, some articles are longer than others so have more room, then there is the Noordhoff case, which are great images, but really not the best for showing what she looks like - in short, I put these all in, but do some of these need to be removed? There may be a few other similar videos, and I'd appreciate your learned guidance for next time.

--GRuban (talk) 17:21, 28 January 2022 (UTC)

@GRuban: I think the one of Felice Noordhoff can stand to be removed because her face is too obscured. I can tell it's her, but the average person wouldn't have any idea. Trillfendi (talk) 17:58, 29 January 2022 (UTC)

WP:AFC Helper News

Hello! I wanted to drop a quick note for all of our AFC participants; nothing huge and fancy like a newsletter, but a few points of interest.

  • AFCH will now show live previews of the comment to be left on a decline.
  • The template {{db-afc-move}} has been created - this template is similar to {{db-move}} when there is a redirect in the way of an acceptance, but specifically tells the patrolling admin to let you (the draft reviewer) take care of the actual move.

Short and sweet, but there's always more to discuss at WT:AFC. Stop on by, maybe review a draft on the way? Whether you're one of our top reviewers, or haven't reviewed in a while, I want to thank you for helping out in the past and in the future. First sentence on Angelina Jolie

Pardon me for once again asking you about your edit summary. When you wrote the whole world knows her as Angelina Jolie, were you suggesting that only one's common name is suitable for the lead sentence? Or do you deem this article a special case since "Jolie" is present in every name listed? It doesn't seem helpful or appropriate to give readers the impression that "Angelina Jolie" is the sole name that matters since she's always been "Angelina Jolie something". Not only have I never seen a BLP format a birth name or different legal names that way, but that's not compatible with MOS:MULTINAMES. KyleJoantalk 04:18, 26 February 2022 (UTC)

Malika Louback main space

I have taken the liberty of expanding your draft and moving it to main space. Hope that's all right. You may recall it was one of your articles that I added model images to - except unlike all the others it was just a draft. That just itched! I'm also hoping to nominate it for DYK. --GRuban (talk) 16:42, 3 March 2022 (UTC)

Thanks, I see you tweaked some things, so I'm guessing you're happy. Nominated. One minor question, though, this source https://www.stylist.fr/malika-louback-la-mannequin-que-les-maisons-de-mode-s-arrachent,313968.asp is "MALIKA LOUBACK, REINE DES PODIUMS", which literally means "Malika Louback, queen of the podiums". I am highly tempted to translate "podium" in this case as "runway" or "catwalk" or something, on the theory that this is what they mean. In English, at least, a podium is somewhere where you stand, not really where you walk; I don't suppose you know whether in French modeling runways or catwalks are called podiums? --GRuban (talk) 19:59, 3 March 2022 (UTC)
Never mind, figured it out, by following the Francais link from catwalk: "nom anglais du podium ou de la piste sur laquelle marchent les modèles lors de présentations de mode". Yes, that's what's meant.--GRuban (talk) 20:02, 3 March 2022 (UTC)
@GRuban: I was gonna say in French, podium can also mean runway in that context, though they could’ve said défilé. Trillfendi (talk) 20:08, 3 March 2022 (UTC)
Thank you, runways it is! --GRuban (talk) 20:12, 3 March 2022 (UTC)

Just saw your comment: [2] Yeah. I had nominated another that might have been fitting, but didn't make it either, for more complex reasons: Wikipedia_talk:Did_you_know#Yulia_Tolopa_hook Ah well. Plenty of deserving articles. --GRuban (talk) 19:41, 14 March 2022 (UTC)
