I, Acceptable, hereby award you this original barnstar for helping me with my macro clicking question.

Simpler solutions

[edit]

A few days ago you a couple of other editors helped me on this question Wikipedia:Reference_desk/Archives/Computing/2012_November_21#Converting_a_CTRL_key_into_a_FN_key I took my laptop to my friend and said to him, right how shall we go about doing this? He looked the keyboard and said: can't you just use the [Fn Lock] key that's also on the right hand side? Ah. *embarrassed face* almost-instinct 16:49, 28 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hahahaha. Trio The Punch (talk) 16:58, 28 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

An invitation

[edit]

In this edit, you called me a 'troll.' It might be helpful for you to read the article Troll (Internet), which explains what the term means. Once you've read that, you'll see that you were incorrect to call me a troll, and that you were (I'm sure inadvertently) insulting me. I invite you apologize. -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 14:12, 1 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Editsummaries are summaries. If I, for example, revert 5 trolls and fix a typo I am probably too lazy to write "+typo" in the editsummary. But we agree that you are not a troll, just ill-informed, if I would have an infinite amount of time and patience I would've written "rv trolls and people who are too lazy to read" and explained it all very slowly and clearly. I am not really a fan of people who are too lazy to spend some time reading before posting a comment. It is especially problematic if admins are too lazy to read enough to understand the situations they deal with. Bad admins have caused more damage on Wikipedia than skilled trolls. I'm sorry that you didn't understand my comment, or why your edits were inappropriate. I see that you are now using two accounts. Which of the legitimate uses of alternate accounts applies to your need for a second account? -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 16:23, 1 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Hm, FisherQueen, you disappoint me. Please reread that sentence. You wrote: "I'm sorry that you didn't understand my comment, or why your edits were inappropriate". So basically you are insulting me while pretending to be sorry for something that hasn't happened. I invite you apologize. Sarah Baartman (talk) 16:39, 1 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Which of the legitimate uses of alternate accounts is that? I didn't understand your answer, and I do want to understand you clearly. -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 16:40, 1 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, you must've made a typo, I did not see your apology. Please try again. Sarah Baartman (talk) 16:42, 1 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for proving my point. I striked through part of my comment above. Sarah Baartman (talk) 16:43, 1 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
