Triplicatio

[edit]

I tried prior to my replying to you on the talk page for Art Pope to find some way to reach you, so that a discussion could be held outside of public view. Is this a possible channel for a private discussion? Idealist707 (talk) 18:37, 10 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Multiple accounts

[edit]

Hello, Triplicatio, welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. Your editing pattern indicates that you may be using multiple accounts or coordinating editing with people outside Wikipedia. Our policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow this. If you operate multiple accounts directly or with the help of another person, please remember to disclose these connections. Thanks, a13ean (talk) 17:07, 25 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Not guilty of WP:sockpuppetry. Now that I know what WP:Meatpuppetry is, I may have been inadvertently guilty. I did not realize asking a colleague with more expertise on a topic, the tax status of various types of organizations, and learning how to edit on Wikipedia with another person, would be considered a violation. (Literally looking over a shoulder to see how edits are done, suggesting try this or that to see what works.) So what is the remedy? Ask the other person to no longer post on common topics? As I learn, I will go through the above appeal process. Advice and guidance welcomed Triplicatio (talk) 3:40 pm, 8 December 2012, last Saturday (2 days ago) (UTC+0)

Decline reason:

The evidence at the sockpuppet investigation, both behavioural and technical, point to you and User:Alethaie being the same person. The technical aspect might be explained by you and your "colleague" using the same computer, but your similar typographic errors and writing style also cast suspicion on your edits. In any case, your actions, as you admit above, still constitute meatpuppetry, which is treated in exactly the same way as sockpuppetry in terms of sanctions; you have not given any convincing reason to reduce your block.
