RE:Edit war in Rajdhani Express

[edit]

Hi Truevalue,

Thanks for your post. It may be a well know fact in India that the railway system there is not up to standards. However, to the average reader who may not be from India, that may pose as a POV. My suggestion would be to provide a referenced source in regards to the latest update on the Indian Rail standards of service. Perhaps, from a newspaper or magazine. Now, that would really give a lot of weight on the information given. Regards. Wiki Raja 08:04, 19 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for Image:Bfone.PNG

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Bfone.PNG. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 19:06, 7 May 2007 (UTC)

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:BSNL logo.png. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Tony Sidaway 12:17, 8 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use disputed for Image:BSNL Logo.png

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:BSNL Logo.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 05:12, 16 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading Image:BSNL Logo.PNG. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

The following images also have this problem:

Thanks for uploading Image:Bfone.PNG. You've indicated that the image meets Wikipedia's criteria for non-free content, but there is no explanation of why it meets those criteria. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. If you have any questions, please post them at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.

Thank you for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 03:47, 22 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Teji Bachchan

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Teji Bachchan requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. RavichandarMy coffee shop 15:12, 4 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Adding stub tags

[edit]

Hi, Please don't add {{stub}} to articles like Deoria when they already have categorised stub tags - it just wastes the time of people at WP:STUBSORT. And if you're adding stub tags, please put them at the end, not the beginning - see WP:STUB which says "By convention this (ie the stub tag) is placed at the end of the article, after the External links section, any navigation templates, and the category tags, so that the stub category will appear last." Thanks, PamD (talk) 17:43, 15 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:India Broadband.PNG

However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

PLEASE NOTE:

  • I am a bot, and will therefore not be able to answer your questions.

Hi. When you recently edited Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Elections 2012, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Simple majority (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 10:34, 25 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Uttar Pradesh State Assembly elections, 2012

[edit]

Why the heck would you knowingly create such a page when there already is another page that you edited just before creating the other page with seperate content.? That quite clearly suggests somethign other than a good faith edit.(Lihaas (talk) 00:21, 12 January 2012 (UTC)).[reply]

RE: Uttar Pradesh State Assembly elections, 2012

[edit]

per the standard naming ou suggested on my talk page. the election is not plural (which all regular election editors will agree). you also cited the previous election but that was not a proper noun. the proper noun would be "Vidhan Sabha"(Lihaas (talk) 21:15, 16 January 2012 (UTC)).[reply]

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Bhaag Milkha Bhaag may have broken the syntax by modifying 2 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry, just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

A tag has been placed on State Assembly elections in India, 2012 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G6 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an orphaned disambiguation page which either

  • disambiguates two or fewer extant Wikipedia pages and whose title ends in "(disambiguation)" (i.e., there is a primary topic); or
  • disambiguates no (zero) extant Wikipedia pages, regardless of its title.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time. Please see the disambiguation page guidelines for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
