AFD[edit]

I would like you to re-consider your vote on AFD for Ill.Skillz. There actually IS a claim of notability. If you check the article you will find multiple non-trivial published works of which Ill.Skillz is the subject of. Please consider changing your vote to keep. --OriginalJunglist 14:07, 25 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My bad - I misread the three interviews "Interview with D.Kay" to mean D.Kay was the interviewer as opposed to interviewee. I've since looked at this entry more closely, and I'm now on the fence. It looks like their CDs aren't on a major label - am I right, are they a band whose CDs are self-released? If so, I'd still be inclined towards Delete, but until I know for sure, I'm going to withdraw my vote.TruthGal 17:41, 25 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Marina T.'s non-notable articles[edit]

Hi,

I did a pretty thorough work on User:Marina T.'s edits. This user seems to be the same person as User:Nnimrodd, or closely related to him. (If you read Hebrew, see this: he:ויקיפדיה:הומור/פרשת נמרוד קמר.) Marina T. was blocked by User:Yamla for massive uploading of images without any respect to Wikipedia's copyright and licensing policy.

See this list for this user's other possible sock puppets: Wikipedia:Suspected sock puppets/Marina T.. I couldn't prove this case, and User:Sofie van Loo had something that looked like a proof that she's not related to them, so i assumed good faith and closed the case. I'm still very sure about User:ZisoZiso and User:Silvan S., and recently i also added three other usernames to my personal list of suspects, but they still haven't made any big damage so i am not taking affirmative action.

As for Marina T. prolific writing of articles about non-notable Israelis: I already PRODded, AFD'd and speedied many of them. I left those that seemed reasonable to me.

Mati Shemoelof is definitely notable. His essays are published almost daily in leading newspapers.

Gal Deren, Ory Dessau, Adam Rabinowitz, Maayan Strauss, Girls At The Cairo National Stadium - their notability is borderline, but enough for me. If you think that they should be deleted, you're welcome to start an AfD; i will vote "weak keep" on all of them. --Amir E. Aharoni (talk) 14:38, 5 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

How you people can block a NN self-promoter like Nnimrodd but then include his NN stalker video in Wikipedia is beyond me. If the videographer isn't notable, the video isn't notable. It's clear to me now that Wikipedia is not really an encyclopedia at all - it's just another social networking site like MySpace, Facebook, etc. I think I'm giving up on trying to improve this place as a reference resource, and I'm giving up on defending it to the naysayers who think Wikipedia is pretty much bullshit. Because at this point, how can I disagree with them? It is. TruthGal (talk) 19:32, 3 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please re-visit Mahaul Theek Hai as I have made some adjustments and value your input. Thank you. Schmidt (talk) 03:08, 2 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I just gave the entire article a heart traansplant. It is rewritten, cited, sourced, and should hold up to scrutiny. Your coments would be appreciated. Schmidt (talk) 04:55, 3 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, not sold. Lipstick on a pig. TruthGal (talk) 19:34, 3 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
That's okay. You are entitled to your opinion. After lengthy discussion, Jeandré was instumental in the article being much improved. Once his concerns were addressed, he decided that notability was finally established. I have never seen the film.... but the millions who did, in India and around the world, established a (perhaps minor) notability. With the help of others, the article now has established its notability as a film, has a neutral POV, and proper sourcing. Thanks for your input. Schmidt (talk) 05:14, 5 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
