Sheffield Transport infrastructure in the eighteenth century[edit]

hi

My name is Tom I am currently doing a masters degree in early modern history at Sheffield university. One of my projects is to edit a Wikipedia history Page, I have always been fascinated how Sheffield was able to import and export with no navigable rivers and Bawtry being 20 miles by road,

I would like to edit this page by putting a little more emphasis why the River Don Navigation was essential as was the developing turnpikes to assisting in Sheffields f=growth.

I would welcome any comments or observations you may have,

Regards

Deleting your draft[edit]

This can stay until your tutor sees it, but per general housekeeping, I recommend that you then ask for it to be Speedy deleted by an Administrator. To do that, put Db-author at the top of the draft, inside double curly brackets {{ }}. What you had attempted to add was true and referenced content about the Bright family, but the article is not about the family. David notMD (talk) 11:20, 24 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Communicating with other editors[edit]

Best if you put comments or question of their Talk pages, or at least 'ping' them if commenting on the Talk page of the article in question. It was only happenstance that I looked at the Teahouse site. As to how much to have about the Bright family, in my opinion you added too much detail that was not relevant to the history of the hall. I did restore the Hunter quote and ref as relevant to the place. David notMD (talk) 12:59, 25 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
