Your account has been blocked indefinitely from editing because of the following problems: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or web site, which is against the username policy.

You may request a change of name and unblock if you intend to make useful contributions other than promoting your business or organization. To do this, first search Special:CentralAuth for available usernames that comply with the username policy. Once you have found an acceptable username, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked. In your reasons, you must:

  • Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure requirement.
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. Orange Mike | Talk 05:43, 14 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Orange Mike. We do not understand why our account was blocked. Just because our username goes by the name of our company, it just can't magically make it violate the username policy. Were not showing our real names as of now. Please unblock us so we can change our username. Thanks Tuxedo Labs (talk) 15:43, 14 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Tuxedo Labs, shared accounts are not allowed on Wikipedia, as an accounts' edits are meant to represent a single person. Therefore, usernames that imply shared use are also prohibited to prevent confusion. Steve M (talk) 16:42, 14 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Please see WP:UNC for advice on changing usernames in regards to the username policy. @Orangemike: The user stated their willingness to change their name in the above comment, maybe you can assist them with this. Regards, IceWelder [] 12:06, 25 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Instructions on how to change your username are in the orange box above. Follow ALL the steps. --Orange Mike | Talk 17:08, 25 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Requested username:

Request reason:

We have thought of a new username and it will be Dennis Gustafsson, the founder and owner of Tuxedo Labs. The rest of us will be retired from Wikipedia except Dennis. Tuxedo Labs (talk) 01:49, 4 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Your username is only one small part of the reason for the block. Please review conflict of interest and paid editing and explain how your future contributions will be consistent with those policies, as well as tell about any topics unrelated to your conflict of interest you might edit about. I am declining your request. 331dot (talk) 01:58, 4 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Even though we are retired, we have read the Conflict of Interest and the Paid contribution disclosure. Our contributions will be speaking to other users about the video game Teardown (since we are the developers) and how it's "upcoming" We will also be contributing ourselves to Wikipedia through our user page (in other words the history of Tuxedo Labs) Lastly, the name Dennis Gustafsson is our founder/owner of Tuxedo Labs. He will be using this account from now on since the rest of us will no longer us it

Decline reason:

No, we are not interested in you writing about your video game. We don't get to write about ourselves or our businesses on Wikipedia. --jpgordon𝄢𝄆 𝄐𝄇 14:49, 8 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Teardown

[edit]

Seeing that you are unfortunately still blocked, allow me to quickly respond to your message right here, so you can reply if necessary. As I outlined in my original reply, I am aware that Teardown is available per se (given that I wrote the entire article and am playing the game myself). However, we need to use the "upcoming" for early-access games (like Teardown) per our guidelines located at Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Video games, which read in part:

  • Early releases such as open beta-testing periods, early access, or other similar mechanics should not be included in the infobox once the game is actually released. While the game is in an early release state, that early release date may be included in the infobox, but it should be indicated as an early release, and in the article prose, the game should be treated as an upcoming video game that has yet to receive a full release for all other purposes.

    {emphasis added)
  • Label unreleased, pre-release, and early access games as "upcoming".

This applies to all early-access video games, so if any such article does not mention "upcoming", it does so in error. I hope this clears your question up a bit. Regards, IceWelder [] 14:02, 12 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

It really is a shame how I took the time to respond to this twice only to later find out that it was just a sock impersonating the developers... IceWelder [] 09:55, 15 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

UTRS 41750

Dennis Gustafsson

[edit]

So apparently, WP:ACC has created a new account for Dennis Gustafsson (talk · contribs). Left messages there. Not seeing any reason to unblock this account. --Deepfriedokra (talk) 15:18, 29 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
