Youngstown, Ohio[edit]

I nominated Youngstown, Ohio for Good Article status, thanks in part to your work. Cheers, --Daysleeper47 19:07, 12 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Some help, sir[edit]

Twelsht, an article within Wikipedia:WikiProject Fire Service, of which I am greatly involved, has been nominated for Good Article status. That nomination is currently on hold until the article receives some good copy editing. If you have some time, would you mind taking a look at 2006 Kolkata leather factory fire. You are an excellent copy editor from what I can tell from your edits to Youngstown. Your assistance is appreciated. Regards, Daysleeper47 19:44, 12 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Peer Review[edit]

My recent nomination for Good Article status for Youngstown, Ohio passed! I have requested a Peer Review of the article in hopes of nominating it for Featured status in the near future. If you would like to contribute to the Peer Review Process, please go here Wikipedia:Peer review/Youngstown, Ohio. Your assistance is appreciated! --Daysleeper47 20:14, 13 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Eshavers.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Eshavers.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Youngstown Ohio Works[edit]

Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner; I've been away from Wikpedia for a bit. I just read over the article again, and it's definitely improved from when I requested the peer review. If someone doesn't respond to that pretty soon, I may just go ahead and nominate it for good article status. If I do, I'll let you know.--Djrobgordon 18:19, 24 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

New Yompton page[edit]

I started List of mayors of Youngstown, Ohio but of course don't have access to the research materials you do since I live in Virginia. If you come across some names, feel free to populate this page. It is modeled after a page of the same name for Cleveland. --Daysleeper47 17:04, 2 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use problem with Image:Arroyo1.jpg[edit]

I notice you uploaded the image Image:Arroyo1.jpg with the {{SportsPoster}} fair use image tag. However, it appears that this tag is totally unrelated to the content of the image, and as a result it may qualify for speedy deletion. Image:Arroyo1.jpg has been tagged for deletion, and may have been deleted by the time you see this message.

If you can find a valid tag that expresses why Image:Arroyo1.jpg can be used under the fair use guidelines, please replace the {{SportsPoster}} tag that you have placed on it with that tag. If no such tag exists, please add the {{Non-free fair use in|article name that the image is used in}} tag, along with a brief explanation of why this constitutes fair use of the image. If the image has been deleted, you can reupload it but please ensure you place the correct tag on it. However, you must not remove the speedy deletion notice. Thank you, and please feel free to continue contributing to Wikipedia. —Remember the dot (talk) 22:47, 19 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image:Mzordich.jpg[edit]

I have tagged Image:Mzordich.jpg as {{no rationale}}, because it does not provide a fair use rationale. If you believe the image to be acceptable for fair use according to Wikipedia policy, please provide a rationale explaining as much, in accordance with the fair use rationale guideline, on the image description page. Please also consider using {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. Thank you.

Image:Jhirschbeck.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Jhirschbeck.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rettetast 10:32, 30 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
