Request reason:

To the administrators of Wikipedia,

I did not think I would ever engage in sockpuppetry and nor did I think I would ever be blocked on Wikipedia again (last time being 6 years ago when I was WP:YOUNG at 17) and I do wish I came across WP:COSP before I thought about doing it. I have been an active Wikipedian for over 7 years and have contributed to over 7000 edits. My main contributions lie within the music that I personally have a passion for. I often find it frustrating trying to find information on an album or a musician and so often these musicians have a poorly written Wikipedia page or not have one at all. I started editing on Wikipedia in light of assisting others (with the same music taste as me) on finding information on these musicians releases as I believe that Wikipedia is the best place to do so and try to do so so that it meets the notability guidelines. I have created and edited numerous pages (my most prized possession is the album In Death Reborn (which I got up to a good article standard) as well as Black the Ripper (an article I have created that has the most reads in a day; 41,684). I always aim get the pages I have contributed to up to a minimum of C class standard.

I believe my edits are with musicians and albums who are, as I'd like to call them, "borderline notable" which often results in them being put up for deletion discussions. One specific user, Magnolia667, has sought to put up a lot of the articles I have created up for deletion such as this lengthy discussion on Smoke Dawg. From my point of view, this has been frustrating from in terms of the hard work and effort I put into making these articles, but I dealt with it in a manner which I thought was correct. Not long after, another page I created was up for deletion. This is when I resorted into creating a sockpuppet account as I thought "it would speed up the process" of the discussion. I was wrong and it genuinely feels like I've been caught for rigging votes in an election. I do understand Magnolia's reasoning for putting these articles for deletion, and honestly, if I made myself to be appropriately aware of the rules of sockpuppetry, I would not have resorted to doing something like. Sitting here blocked and seeing articles that I have contributed to such as Puffy L'z being proposed for deletion despite me believing it meets WP:MUSICBIO standards makes me feel helpless and wish I did not do that one thing which resulted in me being blocked. I do wish to continue contributing on Wikipedia as it is a hobby I am proud of and makes me feel good for helping others being able to find information that I assisted them in attaining. It was only after committing an act of sockpuppetry I found out about WP:RESCUE, and after feeling like the rest of Wikipedia was out to delete my articles I finally found a sense of belonging on Wikipedia. People who want to contribute to articles and make them better instead of putting them up for deletion.

My intentions have never been to send personal attacks on other users and I only just want to continue contributing to articles that I an knowledgeable on. This is the first, and most definitely the last time in my entire Wikipedia career I will even come as close to thinking about engaging in sockpuppetry. I understand why this behaviour is not tolerable on Wikipedia. It is a behaviour I genuinely would never commit to again, and I was naive to think that it was not going to be that big of a deal. Over the years as an editor, I believe I have become a better Wikipedian and understand numerous guidelines of Wikipedia but it something I am learning the more I use it. I have no intentions of creating any more sock accounts and "rigging votes in discussion". Furthermore, I will continue to educate myself on the policies of Wikipedia and follow the guidance provided. I honestly just want readers to be able to find the information that I already have knowledge of.

I hope the administrator reviews my block request with great consideration.

Thank you,
