Travelex Group[edit]

Hi Twimurray, you said

Dear Sargdub,
I work on behalf of Travelex Group. We have created a wikipedia entry for the company which is both sufficiently informative and fair. A lot of hard work has gone into this, so we would appreciate it if you were at least able to explain your objections and at best stop changing it.
Many thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Twjmurray (talkcontribs) 13:40, 28 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I appreciate your efforts and dont want to discourage you from editing wikipedia, however there were a couple of things that did not meet with wikipedia guidelines in the material you added and removed. The first is citing of references, wikipedia policies require information to be referenced and you did do that, but they must use reliable third party sources, Travelex's own website is not appropriate for such references. Secondly its wikipedia policy that all information should be written from a neutral point of view. That can be very difficult if you are related to the subject and for that reason wikipedia strongly discourages individuals from editing pages related to themselves. Please have a read of the following guidelines Wikipedia:Neutral point of view, Wikipedia:Conflict of interest and WP:PROMO which should provide the information you need. If you feel you can meet the Neutral point of view guidelines and avoid overly promotional language then by all means re-apply your changes, all versions are kept so its easy to get back previous version, but please add detailed explanations in your edit summary and make sure you find third party references to support things you add. However please consider carefully any material you add meets NPOV. If you disagree with my actions you can also ask for somebody else to review the changes by going Wikipedia:Editor assistance and asking somebody to review the edits.
