Hi there. In your recent edit to this article, you accidentally posted File:Example.jpg. Most likely you clicked on the insert image button, then forgot to add the filename for the image you wanted to use. If you can remember what the image you had in mind was, you might want to go back and add it. Thanks for editing. --Elen of the Roads (talk) 00:13, 22 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but when you add or change content, as you did to the article Tshabong, please cite a reliable source for the content of your edit. This helps maintain our policy of verifiability. Take a look at Wikipedia:Citing sources for information about how to cite sources and the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. ethansmith | talk to me. 21:46, 22 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Tshabong[edit]

Hi. I probably should have explained what happened to the page. Sorry about that. Ok, so I read your edits, and they were really informative. However, they did not cite sources. If you look on other Wikipedia articles, they have little numbers in brackets next to a sentence. These are references that show the reader where the information on that page came from. If we do not show the reader where the information came from, they would discredit what you put and say that it's false information. This page has the complete how-to on citing sources. By the way, you cannot add information from your head; you have to find a source somewhere else like in a book or on a webpage. I can put back all the information I deleted if you want as long as you insert references to your information. If you have any other questions, please contact me on my talk page. ethansmith | talk to me. 22:12, 23 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hey. Making a citation is really easy. All you have to do is insert the information about the source into this template: <ref>{{Citation |last= |first= |author= |authorlink= |coauthors= |firstn=,lastn=,authorn= |author-separator= |editor= |editorn= |editorn-last= |editorn-first= |editor-link= |editorn-link= |others= |title= |url= |archiveurl= |archivedate= |format= |accessdate= |edition= |series= |volume= |date= |origyear= |year= |month= |publisher= |location= |language= |isbn= |oclc= |doi= |doi-inactive-date=|bibcode= |id= |page= |pages= |nopp= |at= |chapter= |chapterurl= |quote= |laysummary= |laydate= |separator= |postscript= |lastauthoramp= |ref= }}</ref>. The sources might not have all the information, and that's ok. All you have to do is insert the stuff that you know, like the title of the work, the website if it's from the internet, the author, the date you accessed it, etc. This page has information about each section. Here's an example: <ref>{{ Citation | last=Turner | first=O. | title=History of the Pioneer Settlement of Phelps and Gorham's Purchase, and Morris' Reserve | publisher=William Alling | place=Rochester, New York | year=1851 | url = [http://olivercowdery.com/texts/1851Trn1.htm#turn1851 http://olivercowdery.com/texts/1851Trn1.htm#turn1851] }}</ref>. Once you fill in that information, you just paste the whole thing next to the sentence that you want to cite. Like this.[1] It should look like a number in brackets next to the sentence.
