Heart burn

[edit]

Seeing that ischemic heart disease is a serious common cause of this symptom it should be mentioned in the lead.Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 00:37, 4 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the note. Rest assured that ischemic heart disease already is mentioned in the lede. I noted in my edit summary that I was removing the repeated text. See the previous diff to view the version where the same sentence appears twice in the lede.
Perhaps you missed it because the sentence did not appear in the colored, line-by-line diff view: it's good to check the actual article text as well. Thank you for helping maintain this article. TypicalUser (talk) 03:36, 4 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks missed that. I does fit in better with the rest of the discussion of the causes of this symptom.Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 06:06, 4 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I tweaked Heartburn again, to address a situation with the grammar. The paragraph was referring to a "similar" burning sensation, when the type specific to acid reflux had not yet been noted. When placed in the other position it had occupied, the sentence was referring to a "similar" sensation directly after a sentence describing a type of reflux that produces no such sensation.
I tried creating a separate paragraph and adding a bit more information on ischemic heart disease. What do you think of this setup? (See Heartburn).TypicalUser (talk) 14:23, 4 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
