Context

[edit]

Remember to put context in articles about fictional topics or people may want to speedy-delete them as nonsense. Kappa 13:48, 25 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Cleveland Indians player articles

[edit]

Hi ... I've recently caught the WP bug and decided to combine it with one of my other passions: The Tribe. I see that you've done some recent edits to Indians' player pages also. Since I don't want to step on your toes or duplicate efforts, I thought I'd drop you a quick note to introduce myself. Initially, I'd planned to just add infoboxes to players who don't have them and do some fact-checking. But I've gotten a little more ambitious and begun to make some more substantial edits to the articles. As a relative newbie, I'd appreciate any feedback you might have about what I've been doing. Here's my contributions page. Ciao. Sanfranman59 00:55, 5 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the note. Here's hoping that our Tribe is as much a pleasant surprise this year as they were a disappointment last. Just out of curiosity, why the interest in Boof Bonser (aside from the fact that he's got the funniest name in baseball)? Sanfranman59 00:08, 6 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the rating on the Jeremy Sowers article. What improvements do you think it would need to get the B rating? --Sanfranman59 05:47, 14 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

RE: 2007 Cleveland Indians game log

[edit]

Actually, the first series was handled by 69.201.134.220. Everything else, the postponed series and last night's game I've taken care of. Anyway, it was no problem. --Ksy92003 22:02, 11 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Boof Bonser Assessment

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:FortMyersMiracle 100.png

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:FortMyersMiracle 100.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 21:22, 13 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not restore material before ensuring that it is not a copyright violation. In this case the content added to the article says:

Jordan has been subject to speculation about a possible 2012 U.S. Senate race aimed at unseating Democratic U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown, who will seek a second term.

and the source says:

Jordan, who was re-elected on Tuesday, has been the subject of speculation about a possible 2012 U.S. Senate race aimed at unseating U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, who is expected to seek a second term.

Accordingly, I have re-removed the content. The facts can be used, but must be rewritten from scratch in order to avoid creating a close paraphrase copyright violation. VernoWhitney (talk) 01:20, 13 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
