Ethnicelebs.com as a source[edit]

Hi Ulubay. I noticed that you recently used ethnicelebs.com as a source for biographical information in Doug Ellin. Please note that the general consensus as expressed at WP:RSN is that it does not meet the reliable sourcing criteria for the inclusion of personal information in such articles. I've gone ahead and removed it. If you disagree, let's discuss it. You may want to check WP:RSP and WP:RSN to help determine if a source is reliable. Thanks.--Hipal (talk) 20:14, 21 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, I was not sure about the eligibility of the website as a source but but the information provided there (names of the parents and grandparents, their country of origin, the funeral of the mother in the funeral house consistent with the specified ethnic/religious origin, etc) was detailed and looked accurate for me. There were no other sources. I am totally OK with the deletion if the use of that kind of source does not meet the criteria. I am also curious about the place of your kind remark about the removal about that edit; my user page? Don't we use the talk pages of the articles for that? Just asking with the intention of learning? Ulubay (talk) 16:04, 12 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
