October 2014[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Noian. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit seemed less than neutral to me, so I removed it for now. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. ηoian ‡orever ηew ‡rontiers 22:05, 5 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop changing 2014 Hong kong Protests to Umbrella Revolution in infobox. Even the protest groups themselves have distanced themselves from that terminology (sources: Huffington Post, SCMP) ηoian ‡orever ηew ‡rontiers 04:13, 6 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I am not sure whether you are a resident in Hong Kong or not. If you have chance to participate in this protest, the term "Umbrella Revolution" appears in nearly all venues including Admiralty, Mong Kok and Causeway Bay. And most importantly, the protests are really 'autonomous' and leaders of the protests have even been seriously criticized. --Umbrevolution (talk) 04:34, 6 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop your disruptive editing, as you did at 2014_Hong_Kong_protests. Your edits have been reverted or removed.

Do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive until the dispute is resolved through consensus. Continuing to edit disruptively may result in your being blocked from editing. Stop re-adding autonomous and stop changing the title to Umbrella Revolution, this has been discussed on the talk page. ηoian ‡orever ηew ‡rontiers 04:45, 6 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your reminder - let's wait for the conflict to be resolved. --Umbrevolution (talk) 04:46, 6 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/worldviews/wp/2014/10/04/hong-kongs-students-want-you-to-stop-calling-their-protest-a-revolution/, among many sources. Consensus is against the terminology in the infobox. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:2014_Hong_Kong_protests#Umbrella_Revolution https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:2014_Hong_Kong_protests#RM_.28October_2014.29 ηoian ‡orever ηew ‡rontiers 04:49, 6 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

But the problem has come as shown in the Talk page. 'Umbrella Revolution' is a widely used term and the students cannot represent protest groups at all. See http://nextplus.nextmedia.com/news/ent/20141004/90696 --Umbrevolution (talk) 04:53, 6 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome![edit]

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. The following links will help you begin editing on Wikipedia:

Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia

The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! November 2014[edit]

Stop icon with clock
You have been blocked from editing for a period of one week for abusing multiple accounts, as you did at Talk:2014 Hong Kong protests. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}. However, you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.  — MusikAnimal talk 01:24, 10 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

I am sorry about this. It's created by my brother in fact, I wrote for him and I do not know that I cannot act on behalf of him, my apology.--Life is lifelong revolution. 15:44, 11 November 2014 (UTC)

Decline reason:

You nominated 2014 Hong Kong protests for renaming, and then you created User:Forfuturewework for the purpose of voting in your own favor. You're lucky you only got a short block for this; abusing multiple accounts for the purpose of feigning consensus is very disruptive to the Wikipedia community, and is not tolerated. --jpgordon::==( o ) 15:25, 11 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Cheetah brothers for you[edit]

Cheetah brothers for you
I know you mean well, although you did wrong. I didn't mean to sound very harsh on you in Talk:2014 Hong Kong protests. I hope you can forgive me. I see you fighting for freedom, and I appreciate it. However, this is Wikipedia, so you might want to read WP:5P. I am giving you cheetah brothers because I guess there is one slight brotherly love. George Ho (talk) 00:41, 14 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

While you are temporarily blocked, you can read, not edit![edit]

You can just read articles instead of edit (which would extend your blocking period if you are still blocked), like Chinese-related topics, until your block period expires. For examples of Chinese culture, how about China, dandan youqing, Leslie Cheung, Taiwan, congee, Sun Yat-Sen, Mao Zedong, and Deng Xiaoping? If you want to learn about British history, see British Raj, British Empire, Partition of India, and T. E. Lawrence. If just British-Chinese relations, China–United Kingdom relations, Hong Kong–United Kingdom relations, and 1967 Hong Kong riots are examples. --George Ho (talk) 00:48, 14 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Many thanks for your advice and gift, appreciated :) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Umbrevolution (talkcontribs) 04:32, 15 November 2014‎ (UTC)[reply]

Changing username suggestion[edit]

Well, when you are finally unblocked, you may change your username if you wish. I highly recommend Wikipedia:Changing username/Simple. However, if you want a used username that has no significant edits and no log actions, go to Wikipedia:Changing username/Usurpations. That way, you don't risk being blocked again. --George Ho (talk) 18:07, 16 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Customizing your signatures[edit]

Your signature has no link to your userpage or user talk page. You might want to read Wikipedia:Signatures to learn how to properly customise your signatures, so anyone like me can click a link to either. --George Ho (talk) 18:22, 16 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Kelven ka shing lit[edit]

Hello Umbrevolution,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Kelven ka shing lit for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. TheLongTone (talk) 11:42, 15 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
