In the section "Demographics of stateside Puerto Ricans" in Puerto Ricans in the United States, should the table titled "Race by Puerto Rican national origin" combine the categories "Mixed" and "One Race, but some other race" into "Mixed & Other", or keep them separate as the source (US Census Bureau) that collected and presented the data did? An IP address combined them shortly after they were separated.

First, your whole rationale for "white", "black", "mixed" or "2 or more" is a concept which is not only applied to Puerto Ricans. A majority of people select "white" because Hispanic nationalities are not considered a race. As for nationality, Puerto Ricans are not considered a nationality, unlike other Hispanic sub-groups. I also have issue with you listing California, Georgia, and North Carolina as having growing Puerto Rican populations. Absent military cities, there is no indication of this being true. In fact, Puerto Ricans are growing in Georgia and North Carolina, but hardly enough in numbers to be considered "true growth." As for Nydia Velazques, very few know her, so it's better to list her under Puerto Rican Americans. Who knows, maybe after Tuesday, she might not even have a job...especially with the poor campaign she's been running. — Preceding unsigned comment added by ANTONI20 (talk • contribs) 00:29, 25 June 2012 (UTC)
- It's not my "rationale", it's the United States Census Bureau's method of collecting and presenting data. For more information about it, you can look at the cited source and call them with questions regarding why it is the way it is. I haven't made any comments or edits about any of the other topics you're referring to, but I'll look into them in the future. (UnbiasedObjective (talk) 00:57, 25 June 2012 (UTC))
- Ok...you obviously didn't understand. You act as if the whole race factor is subjective to Puerto Ricans alone. — Preceding unsigned comment added by ANTONI20 (talk • contribs) 01:21, 25 June 2012 (UTC)
- Although this has nothing to do with the fact that the US Census Bureau collects and presents data in a certain way, I am personally curious and would like for you to expand on your argument regarding race. Could you present your full argument to me? (UnbiasedObjective (talk) 01:34, 25 June 2012 (UTC))
