Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thanks for your note on my talk page, and thanks for fixing the errors in the article about your father (if that was you). Yes, I did know your father. I was a student in his cytotech school. Normally we (Wikipedia volunteers) are discouraged from writing about people we know, but since he was so obviously deserving of an article, and since I only knew him for that one year, I felt it would be ok. He had a profound influence on his field. MelanieN (talk) 15:29, 21 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

...and now that you are starting to find your way around Wikipedia and have created a username for yourself ... stick around! Wikipedia editing is a very enjoyable hobby. Start out slow, reading and making an occasional change where needed, finding out how this place works. Read Wikipedia:Welcome. Learn wikipedia's criteria for articles at WP:Notability and WP:COI among other places. Ask me if you have questions. Someday you could be as hooked as I am! 0;-D MelanieN (talk) 16:20, 21 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
BTW the article is missing his date of birth. Can you supply it? MelanieN (talk) 16:31, 21 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
