This isn't the same as a commercial encyclopedia in that regard. Contributions on here are licensed under a copyright scheme called GFDL, which means that we place no restrictions on other people reusing it. Any policies that a newspaper or a university professor has about whether they're willing to accept work copied directly from Wikipedia are up to them to decide — but they've got nothing to do with our rules about it.
