September 2022[edit]

Information icon Hi Unnecessarily! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor at 5th SS Panzer Division Wiking that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. RTao (talk) 20:57, 21 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

good to know, I didn't think filling a picture into a table would change the meaning of the article. I shall refrain from the minor button until i understand that definition. Unnecessarily (talk) 21:17, 21 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Good morning RTao, I am only starting out at this, and since you pulled me on it, I have read and reread the minor edit page.
Being new, I bow to your experience but can you help me understand what was wrong with it.
Look forward to hearing from you... Unnecessarily (talk) 14:27, 22 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

October 2022[edit]

Hello, I'm Adakiko. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to Gordon Williamson (writer) seemed less than neutral to me, so I removed it for now. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Adakiko (talk) 11:01, 5 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

It is clear that neither you nor K.e.coffman read the article, and just reverted it. Can you point out in detail the parts that you consider to not be neutral. Unnecessarily (talk) 11:40, 5 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I have lots of questions. First, why did you reduce his number if books that have been published? Unnecessarily (talk) 11:22, 5 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The documentary was financed by Russia State Media through Another Way Productions Ltd (whose only production was Ukraine on Fire).[edit]

Hello, could you explain why you are removing this details from Ukraine on Fire? Do you have evidence that shows the contrary? 2A04:EE41:7:6028:D4EC:EB1:EDED:67F1 (talk) 11:27, 4 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

My thinking was this.....the lede of the article is a summary of the body of the article. This information is not contained in the body of the article.
Second, regardess of the positioning of this, your information is uncited. Where is this from?
Third, it is not correct as a thorough reading of the article and it's citations/references.
I have no opinion on the subject other than this. Unnecessarily (talk) 13:59, 4 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
You are free to revert of course if you want to. Unnecessarily (talk) 14:00, 4 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Could you explain this edit please [1] ? -- K.e.coffman (talk) 12:18, 10 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Execution is a more NPOV term, murder is a loaded word.Unnecessarily (talk) 21:20, 10 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
(talk page watcher) Unnecessarily, have you read WP:NPOV? It says carefully and critically analyzing a variety of reliable sources and then attempting to convey to the reader the information contained in them fairly, proportionately, and as far as possible without editorial bias. The body of the article and the preponderance of cited sources call it murder. To change that to "execution" is to insert your editorial bias. Schazjmd (talk) 21:43, 10 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The official charge was "killing". I thought execution was more severe than this. Please do not ascribe any particular bias.Unnecessarily (talk) 23:15, 10 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I apologize for the way I phrased it, I meant that when any of us change labels used by the sources, that's a form of inserting editorial bias. We might inadvertently introduce a "softer" or "harsher" implication than the sources. So when we have multiple sources labelling something murder, we should use that same label. "Execution" generally implies a lawful killing. Schazjmd (talk) 23:33, 10 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
