Voyageurs

[edit]

Hey Brian, thanks for all the help cleaning up my mess of information on voyageurs and whatnot. Looks great! Jay user:upshot

Hey Jay. Not a problem. I'm glad you didn't mind me rearranging things a bit. I'm also glad that you added more information to the article. BTW, I agree with you that the voyageurs should be a separate article from the Coureur de bois since I think these two figures are more distinct than they are similar. I added to the discussion on the article's discussion page re this point. BrianC 22:23, 26 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Michigan

[edit]

Hey, thanks for helping me out with the Michigan Timeline as I am a wiki-newb. On this note, could you tell me how to join the Michigan group? upshot

Just add your name to the participants list on the project page. There's not a lot of concerted efforts going on right now, but a lot of people have the talk page on their watch list, so feel free to ask questions or make suggestions. Cheers. olderwiser 13:58, 24 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Etienne Brule

[edit]

Well, that's silly, to be honest. One of those links is from a very old book, and the other just notes that Stephen is the English version of Etienne. No one calls him Stephen now. Adam Bishop 06:51, 12 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Le Griffon

[edit]

Jay, this is Jack in Quebec, Canada! How are you? I have a problem. I took your photo of Le Griffon ship and placed it in commons so that I could use it in the french section of wikipedia. Now, they are giving me a hard time over it's origins. Do you know where you got this picture? I am sure it is very old, more than 50 for canadian copyrites and more than 70 for US, but since I got it from you, I don't know what to tell them. Could you help me clear up this matter. It would be greatly appreciated, because without it, it doesn't make the article so nice anymore. Thanks Jay! Jack--Chnou (talk) 17:57, 1 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:Le-griffon.jpg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Le-griffon.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
