Disambiguation link notification for December 8
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited List of works by Francisco Goya, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page The Swing (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:19, 8 December 2018 (UTC)
IAB
[edit]Thank you for your edit to the disambiguation page IAB. However, please note that disambiguation pages are not articles; rather, they are meant to help readers find a specific article quickly and easily. From the disambiguation dos and don'ts, you should:
- Only list articles that readers might reasonably be looking for
- Use short sentence fragment descriptions, with no punctuation at the end
- Use exactly one navigable link ("blue link") in each entry
- Only add a "red link" if used in existing articles, and include a "blue link" to an appropriate article
- Do not pipe links (unless style requires it) – keep the full title of the article visible
- Do not insert external links or references
Thank you. Leschnei (talk) 22:15, 14 December 2018 (UTC)
IAB again
[edit]Hi User123o987name, entries on an acronym disambiguation page should include the acronym in the article. Internal Affairs Bureau not only doesn't mention IAB, it doesn't mention 'Internal Affairs Bureau'. When I google "Internal Affairs Bureau"+IAB, I get hits to the NYPD, not Law & Order. It would perhaps be better to redirect Internal Affairs Bureau to New York City Police Department corruption and misconduct. Leschnei (talk) 13:20, 15 December 2018 (UTC)
- @Leschnei: Thanks, I think I have now corrected it. --User123o987name (talk) 16:11, 15 December 2018 (UTC)
