Thanks For The Welcome!--Cronholm144 and a question?[edit]

Thanks for the welcome, very sweet. I find it difficult to uncover wikipedia conventions and usages. So a question: I created my account as I found it annoying that one could read in wikipedia about a William Craig (politician) and a William Craig (theologian) but not about the logician, even if his Interpolation Theorem was all over the logic pages. So I created a page for Bill Craig, but I worry that he might prefer to be called a philosopher, not a logician. Is there a way of having him be just William Craig Emeritus Professor of Philosophy, etc, without calling him William Craig (logician)?Valeria.depaiva 06:05, 20 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Not really, you will have to pick one or the other, This usually wouldn't be a problem, but since William Craig is such a common name, disambiguation is required. If you know his middle name I could make the necessary adjustments to avoid the logic vs. philosophy characterization.--Cronholm144 15:39, 20 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks -Valeria.depaiva 16:18, 20 July 2007 (UTC). I think I may have his middle name in a CV sitting somewhere in the office. meanwhile could you please get the umlauts in Gödel's name to work for me? I did find the reference card, but the font is too small and either my pdf reader is too old or my new add-on from firefox for pdfs is screwing things up, I cannot read the reference card properly.[reply]

Hmm... I think, most of what I disliked about the article has now been changed (I also wikified it to some extend). Looking at it now, it seems to be a short but informative article. I can't say anything about Kaplan's notability, though, as I don't know him. And to be honest, I currently don't really see where he might be "important" enought to deserve an article. If he gets put up for deletion, I would neither vote for nor against him. — N-true 18:15, 28 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Natural deduction[edit]

Hi. I think that you're Italian. Sei sicura di quello che hai scritto nella voce dell'intestazione? Are you shore of the text that you written in the section's title? Grazie, MOJSKA 666 (msg) 14:20, 31 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, thanks for the answer. All good. Bye, MOJSKA 666 (msg) 15:10, 1 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of William w tait[edit]

I have nominated William w tait, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/William w tait. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Roleplayer (talk) 16:27, 19 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Annie Zaenen, and it appears to be a substantial copy of http://web.mit.edu/lsa2005/people/bios/zaenen.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 04:25, 4 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Annie Zaenen[edit]

A tag has been placed on Annie Zaenen requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must include on the external site the statement "I, (name), am the author of this article, (article name), and I release its content under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 and later." You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hi, thank you for your message. As it was pointed out in the afd for this article that this individual is notable and references were provided to that effect, I am no longer of the same opinion as I was when I left you that message. -- roleplayer 09:46, 4 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
