Hi everyone! This is so much fun, I wish I knew that I could make an account sooner. Is anyone willing to talk to me? I'm not going to bite. ^_^ Though my username is vampiregirl92. Hey, who here likes the Twilight seires? Cause there's a great book called The Chronicles of Vladimir Tod, and I think you'll like it. I know I did. Okay...this is getting a little akward, why won't anyone talk to me? Am I weird or something? -.- --Vampiregirl92 (talk) 18:15, 20 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello there![edit]

Ahm, thanks...are you from Japan? I can see you have created your account quite recently, what interests do you have regarding Wikipedia? Victor Lopes (talk) 22:24, 22 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I used to know, because I learned Japanese for some 15 months, but now I'm forgetting everything...=P Don't worry, when I'm on my holidays, I also log on Wikipedia everyday. I really enjoy writing articles, I've written many of hem already, but I also enjoy doing some minor edits to keep articles fine per the guidelines. There's no problem with your spelling. I mostly edit articles related to music or to Brazil...but I can do some maintenance in many different topics. Oh, and remember to sign your posts by adding ~~~~ (four tildes) to the very end of your every post. Victor Lopes (talk) 23:34, 3 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I just did some ctrl+c and ctrl+v on the code from another user, and then I obviously overwrote his data with mine. Victor Lopes (talk) 23:58, 4 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
You could begin introducing yourself briefly and saying what are your interests at wikipedia, what kind of topics do you like the most, etc. I see you are a little disappointed because nobody talks to you. Keep in mind that this talk page is not a place for chatting, but actually it's a place for you to be in contact with the Wikipedia community. People are most likely to write here if they have something to say or ask to you regarding your edits. In other words, the more you edit, and the greater is the range of your edits, the more people will talk to you. Victor Lopes (talk) 16:40, 8 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Well, nobody said Wikipedia was a place for fun. But the userboxes may add a not-so-serious touch in your userpage. Victor Lopes (talk) 12:48, 9 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'm afraid so. Actually, I only talk about serious things around here, this must be the first time I'm just chatting with someone. But don't get discouraged, there must be something you can do here! Victor Lopes (talk) 16:47, 11 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, then. By the way, why exactly have you created an account? Victor Lopes (talk) 21:15, 11 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Just curious. Are you thinking of leaving Wikipedia? Victor Lopes (talk) 22:25, 12 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
That's a pitty. But it's your choice. Nice talking to you, anyway! Godbye. Victor Lopes (talk) 23:04, 19 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Asian 10,000 Challenge invite[edit]

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 04:53, 21 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
