For song lyrics, go to a lyrics site; Wikipedia is an online encyclopedia, and it's really good for school (helped me out with countless projects for years), but it's missing information or sources. It's not really a good site to look for images, just information. Wikicommons has more information; it's a partner site. What are you researching? Cailunetrawr 16:38, 29 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia can't contain certain images and lyrics because they are copyrighted. If you tell us what you are looking for then we will be happy to help.--neon white talk 00:10, 30 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

              Awww...thanks for the help u guys..T.T

Yes, but I think neon white just meant that we could help you find the right articles... And you might want to learn more about Wikipedia; did you see the welcome box? It has a lot of helpful links.Cailunetrawr 02:43, 3 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

yap.. but.. there's been rumour around our school... from my bandmate, schoolmate and even from my classmates dat.. wikipedia.org delivered lots of false info.. i dunno if its really true dats why i asked dem if they could just give me one proof.. they said.. its in the news.. and so i told them if its true why is it wikipedia.org website still exist.. they said its because.. its an export and its been supported.. and hell?!?! i told him.. if its supported.. then it means the wikipedia is not actually giving false info. but he kept on hesitating dat its false.. that's why i told him.. well,, okay^^ is it true dat wikipedia gives false details?!?!?! --Vanessa2403 (talk) 10:16, 3 December 2008 (UTC)vanessa2403 november 3, 2008[reply]

It depends. If it's got sources that can be proved, then it's real; some people like messing up the pages. They're called vandals and most of the good editors on Wikipedia hate them. Most of the information is true, though, and people are always trying to make it better. Cailunetrawr 02:25, 4 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

oh? okay.. now i see.. so my friends are not telling lies at me about the wikipedia at all.. okay thanks for that info^^ --Vanessa2403 (talk) 10:41, 4 December 2008 (UTC)vanessa2403[reply]

No problem, but they're also not saying that Wikipedia also has good information. Instead of avoiding it, people should just try and make it better. Cailunetrawr 01:33, 5 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Emo meaning

[edit]

Hey, I saw your comments on Paramore's talk page, and emo actually stands for emotive hardcore. Cailunetrawr 17:32, 29 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

oh?!?! my bad.. ehe^^ anyway.. it depends.. i mean, i'm definitely sure everyone likes music.. so? ahm..??? if everyone likes music and we all emote.. i think we are still emO.. pero, i agree with u.. its just.. this is how my friend(Araceli) tells me the other day.. so yah...i guess, i'll just agree both on your side..ehe^^ so that there will be no debate...ehe..<3 mwah, 0oOpz..?!?! gotta go..

still need to make my projects and assignments,,

--Vanessa2403 (talk) 03:18, 30 November 2008 (UTC)Vanessa2403 November 30,2008[reply]

Actually, emo has nothing to do with being emotional; it's purely a genre of music. And could you please, please read the Wikipedia rules and guidelines? Like, the ones about writing, formatting, grammar, behavior, and how to use the wiki? Cailunetrawr 01:38, 5 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

okay.. okay....... thanks again for that....... i'll behave already...--Vanessa2403 (talk) 10:58, 5 December 2008 (UTC)Vanessa2403[reply]

Hahah, sorry if I came as rude or over... never mind, don't have the word for that. It's just that they're incredibly useful and I saw that you had something about wanting to help on Wikipedia on your userpage. And the behavior pages are more of like how to use it, like voting or other things, like warning vandals. I still look those up every few days, and they're helpful to re-read. Cailunetrawr 21:58, 7 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Mmmmhmm..owh? no.. its okay, really.. you don't need to be sorry.. anyway, i should be the one who should make apology,, i mean, for bothering you like that.. makes me so guilty and about the whole thing.. and, yah' but at least its good to know someone understands me this time... its really a harsh day for me today, so i guess its nice to feel you still recognized me here.. geez, i dont think i should be continuing my account here on wikipedia..well, i was planning to.. i've been in a lot of heartaches lately.. and i dont wanna add up a problem here on wikipedia just because of me..

PS; what do you mean by behavior pages?--Vanessa2403 (talk) 12:58, 8 December 2008 (UTC)Vanessa2403[reply]

Oh no, it's no bother at all, really! I'm glad to have something to do on Wikipedia other than rewriting articles, looking things up, and reverting vandalism. And you're not a problem on Wikipedia; I did worse the first times I was on it. And by behavior, I meant like... actually, I think I used behavior instead guidelines... I meant like, the ones about vandals and edit summaries and redirects and... Oh well, I see you got a welcome box, just read which ever pages you think will help, if you want to edit Wikipedia.

Welcome to Wikipedia! I am glad to see you are interested in discussing a topic. However, as a general rule, talk pages such as Talk:Emo are for discussion related to improving the article, not general discussion about the topic. If you have specific questions about certain topics, consider visiting our reference desk and asking them there instead of on article talk pages. Thank you. Just keep in mind this when making comments on article talk pages: "Is my comment going to help the article's production, or is it just talking about its subject?" Two types of Wicca

[edit]

Some would say the two types of Wicca are the serious ones, who treat it as a magical priesthood, and the non-serious ones who treat it as a fashion statement, support group or "don't mess with me, I'm a witch" ego-building exercise. Then there are those who say "Wicca isn't witchcraft! We don't practise magic!", or those who worship Jehovah, Jesus and Mary in "Wiccan churches", with a single "minister" preaching to the seated congregation! You're saying these are all Wicca? Some of the examples I've mentioned are religion, and all religions ultimately derive from the same universal inspiration, but that's a very different thing to saying that all these things constitute Wicca.

European witchcraft typically honoured the Goddess and the God, life, fertility and the ancestors; it encompassed practices of magic and divination, and ecstatic trance. Everything that most Eclectic Wiccans do. Why, then, don't they use the term "witchcraft" rather than "Wicca"? Wicca has (or had) much more specific meanings, as a single branch of witchcraft operating as an initiatory magical society, with structure, rituals and practices quite different from any Eclectic Wicca I've ever heard of. Eclectics may be practicing Witchcraft in the richest sense of the word; but to call it "Wicca" is simply misrepresenting real Wicca and rendering a perfectly useful word meaningless. "Wicca" in the eclectic sense means nothing more than "witchcraft".

So that's my opinion — perhaps you see why some consider there to be different types of Wicca. It doesn't mean we can't all get along, and even most Christian Wiccans and fashion Wiccans are lovely people; I just don't consider them part of my Wiccan family. Fuzzypeg 02:58, 10 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, I'm not sure I follow your reply... And I should clarify that I'm not passing judgement on Eclectic Wiccans as people, or trying to claim that trad Wicca is better than anything else, or has any monopoly over magic or the Gods. Nothing of the sort. Just pointing out that "Wicca" is the term that specifically describes us, and we're stuck with it unless we decide to invent a new name. And that name "Wicca" has become vastly distorted by groups and authors who have no idea what trad Wicca is actually like, so that we are quite misrepresented to the public eye. It seems a pity, when the terms "Witchcraft" or "Paganism" would have done just as well. Fuzzypeg 01:46, 11 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Magnetic Spring Scale

[edit]

I'm sorry, I can't help you with this one. I'm not that far in school yet, but I'll find some people who might be able to help you. You should just probably ask them for resources, or you could ask your teacher for help. User:Sbyrnes321 User:DJIndica And anyways, your group members could always go over to your house to use the computer for the report, or better yet, go into the school library, or computer lab if you have computers there, and use computers there and take turns writing your project. Cailunetrawr 02:17, 16 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

That's probably what you should do; awesomesauce, it's what people at my school have done in situations like yours. And, ah, I'm 15. :\ Cailunetrawr 03:36, 17 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
That's wicked. I'm glad to hear your project going to get done, and merry Christmas to you, too! Have a good one. Cailunetrawr 22:25, 21 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
