Hi Cf38, Hope you don't mind, but I've declined your speedy deletion nomination of Magandeep Singh as host of a TV show is to my mind an assertion of notability. However it isn't clear whether our criteria under wp:entertainer have been met as there are no third party sources cited so it may be deleted under a slower process if someone prods it or takes it to AFD for a proper deletion discussion. WereSpielChequers 16:29, 9 March 2009 (UTC)

  • Hey. I submitted the article on account of it sounding self-written, and under the scope of WP:NOTE. I'll gladly help search for sources etc..., but I ran a search engine earlier and nothing veritable came up, the only information I could find was from the article subject's website, which I thought was useless as that was the only source, making the subject in my mind non notable. . If I find nothing I'll submit it in WP:AFD so we can have a debate. Cheers for the note :D cf38talk 16:35, 9 March 2009 (UTC)
Hi, AFD is probably the right route if it doesn't expand a fair bit over the next few days, and I agree it has a whiff of cruft about it. But to avoid speedy deletion it only requires an assertion of notability, and the problem with Indian TV programs is that the notability may be in Hindi or other sources that I can't read. WereSpielChequers 16:46, 9 March 2009 (UTC)
Oh Dear after all that it was a copy vio anyway, sorry for wasting your time. WereSpielChequers 11:57, 11 March 2009 (UTC)
You didn't mate, don't worry :D cf38talk 11:58, 11 March 2009 (UTC)

Thanks

Heh, thanks for reverting that edit to my talk page :) (nice work with all the quick edits on Huggle, I keep getting edit conflicts with you :)) - Kingpin13 (talk) 18:18, 9 March 2009 (UTC)

  • No problem dude, you're beating me to all of them today, nice once! :D cf38talk 18:20, 9 March 2009 (UTC)

Would you please stop changing Brisebois's height and weight?

Please stop changing Brisebois's height and weight. Merci... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.253.176.242 (talk) 18:30, 10 March 2009 (UTC)

  • You cannot change such details without Citeing it. You need to find a source for you information, otherwise it cannot be verified, and it will be deleted. If you wish to edit Wikipedia for the better, who don't you create an account?

semi-protection

I've semi-protected both your user and your user-talk-pages. I hope you do not mind. Also, I changed the block of you know who to indefinite; I'm not sure how he can edit your talk-page at all, though. Drop me a note if you want them unprotected. Cheers and happy editing. Lectonar (talk) 13:51, 11 March 2009 (UTC)

I daresay we could unprotect now, vandalism should have subsided; how about it?. Lectonar (talk) 09:52, 20 March 2009 (UTC)

Thanks

Thanks for the reverts on my pages DFS454 (talk) 18:50, 11 March 2009 (UTC)

The same here! :) De728631 (talk) 13:59, 16 March 2009 (UTC)

No problem, have a nice day :) cf38talk 14:01, 16 March 2009 (UTC)

Huggles

Please watch your huggle reverts, be sure you're reverting to a good version instead of more vandalism. Q T C 20:34, 12 March 2009 (UTC)

I realise, sometimes the vandalism is reverted by the IP straight after I notice it and I tag it accidentaly. If you are an admin, could you help me with User talk:Duffz da man? He's a vandal only user and has vandalised after final warning. cheers! cf38talk 20:36, 12 March 2009 (UTC)
Was more referring to this edit. Was vandalised by two different IPs in a row, with IP vandals if the last edit was also an IP it's usually good to check to see if that wasn't a vandalism edit as well. And no, unfortunately, I'm not an admin. Q T C 20:39, 12 March 2009 (UTC)
My bad. I don't have the option to rollback properly in Huggle so deleting mass edits from IP's is diffcult, and as 'Andy Miah' was the only changed text, that's what I reverted it for. Sorry! cf38talk 20:40, 12 March 2009 (UTC)

Thanks!

for the * ! NawlinWiki (talk) 20:49, 12 March 2009 (UTC)

No problem :D cf38talk 20:50, 12 March 2009 (UTC)

About the edit reversion on the Nick Jr. article...

Well, I'm not angry or anything, but I copied some info for the top of the article from the TEENick article.

BTW, sorry I used my schoo's IP Address.
~~LDEJRuff~~ (see what I've contributed) 15:52, 13 March 2009 (EDT)

Okay, I'm not sure what you mean, but before you change anything like that, you need to cite it. cf38talk 19:53, 13 March 2009 (UTC)

WP:REWARD question

Just in case there's any doubt. The only restrictions I placed on the offer was the one of article size. If the article is too small, more of them need to be done to be eligible. The limit I set was: "Articles that were already partly referenced when the editor started or those with external reference which are obviously supposed to be listed as references do not count. (I will count 3 stubs [of at least 1500 characters readable prose] as one full article)". I'll extend the offer to the end of the month since it appears to have expired at the moment. - Mgm|(talk) 17:39, 15 March 2009 (UTC)

I've re-written it and referenced it - Alci Acosta Is it expanded enough? There are very, very few sources, which is why it's quite bare. cf38talk 17:49, 15 March 2009 (UTC)
Not really, DYK uses readable prose to measure the size of an article. Readable proses doesn't count templates or references. Yours is around 623 bytes. It's probably easier to reference a couple more small articles than try to expand this one if there are so few sources. - Mgm|(talk) 23:31, 15 March 2009 (UTC)

Novels naming

Nope - It should be lower case. See Wikipedia:Naming_conventions_(books)#Standard_disambiguation for the guideline. :: Kevinalewis : (Talk Page)/(Desk) 13:10, 17 March 2009 (UTC)

Welcome to Did you know...

Hello! I noticed that you expressed an interest in participating at T:TDYK. Thank you for your help, and I hope you will continue to contribute! As you know, you don't need to be an administrator to review hooks or to move hooks to Next update, so your help is more than welcome.

You may already be familiar with the DYK rules by now, but in case you aren't, you can check out the official rules and the Additional Rules. You may also want to look into some useful tools that can allow you to review nominations more quickly: the Cut & Paste character counter is a helpful JavaScript to calculate the length of hooks, and User:Dr pda/prosesizebytes.js is a script you can install on your own Wikipedia account for more heavy-duty article length calculating.

The best way to learn is by doing, but here is also a quick reference of the things to check for each hook you review:

Thanks again for your help! I look forward to continuing to work with you at DYK, and if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask me or anyone else at DYK. Now get to reviewing some noms! rʨanaɢ talk/contribs 18:13, 17 March 2009 (UTC)

Re: Remember me?

Hey, a while since we last spoke. I'm doing pretty good, but I'm quite inactive these days (damn Call of Duty). Yourself? Sunderland06 (talk) 22:11, 17 March 2009 (UTC)

Hey! Yeah, I recently emigrated to Qatar (A bit bloody different from up north mate!) cf38talk 13:03, 18 March 2009 (UTC)
Wow, sounds cool. :) Sunderland06 (talk) 16:06, 20 March 2009 (UTC)

Caution with reverting vandalism

I notice you made this edit to remove vandalism. However, you restored to a version that had previously been vandalized by a different user, thus making it less likely for the preceding vandalism to be removed. This is a common problem (I suspect, perhaps, it is a pattern deliberately used by some vandals), and I suggest that whenever the edit you're looking at follows one by a potentially suspicious user, that you take a look at more changes in the history, so you don't "enshrine" a vandalized version under your own name. Mintrick (talk) 04:28, 18 March 2009 (UTC)

Re:Natasha Richardson

I did not write that, someone must have added that after. Jesus. PatríciaR msg 13:44, 18 March 2009 (UTC)

I undid that. Check the history and what kind of editors you're accusing before writing such accusations on my talk page, k? Cheers. PatríciaR msg 13:47, 18 March 2009 (UTC)
Sorry if I sounded uncivil (why?), but I rather not be accused of writing such things on talk pages. That talk page is a mess and is being constantly vandalized by IPs, so it's probably a good idea to really double check if an established editor wrote death wishes. No harm done, cheers, PatríciaR msg 13:58, 18 March 2009 (UTC)

Doppelganger accounts

{{adminhelp}}

I recently changed my username to onevalefan from cf38. I've upset quite a few vandals using Huggle recently, so I created three doppelganger accounts, User:cf36, user:cf39 and user:cf40. User's cf30 - cf37 are other users/impersonators. Since I changed my username, and these accounts are useless, should I contact a Bureaucrat or a steward to remove the accounts? Onevalefan talk 22:18, 26 March 2009 (UTC)

Accounts cannot be removed, because of the associated history. See Wikipedia:USERNAME#Deleting_your_account. Thanks, --  Chzz  ►  22:23, 26 March 2009 (UTC)

Port Vale

Hey I noticed this thread on WT:FOOTY a while ago and thought about you. I forgot up to this point but as you're a Vale fan I was wondering if you'd help that guy with his project. Cheers. Sunderland06 (talk) 20:45, 1 May 2009 (UTC)

User: Chowa001

Thanks for your very interesting input. As I'm pointing out at my talk page I try to keep conversations ion one spot (which in this case would be my talk page) but since I found your input very helpful and don't want to miss out further comments of yours I place this response here. Please let me know if you would prefer to get possible further responses posted at your talk page and I will copy them there. Thanks, --The Magnificent Clean-keeper (talk) 22:48, 7 May 2009 (UTC)

PS: BTW, "new section" tab seems not to work (on your talk page).--The Magnificent Clean-keeper (talk) 22:48, 7 May 2009 (UTC)

I came across your comment at the SPI for user Chowa001. You said the photos that he uploaded are copyrighted. I am in the process of getting them deleted, but it would help if you please provide links of where the photos can be found.
