A tag has been placed on Draft:Covered Bridges of New Hampshire, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Note from deleted material[edit]

I see that these warnings generally came at one time, which is more or less the only reason there is not a block from editing happening right now. That could very quickly change. To answer your question on the talk page of the deleted article, articles are appropriate about notable subjects. (Please specifically read what that means; it does not mean just "noteworthy" in your view.) Secondly, promotional material is not permitted. Puffery, such as engaging and well-illustrated, Award-winning author, and needlessly flowery language like Some have stood sentry over their waterways without incident; others have risen like a phoenix from the ashes after a tragedy took them down. are completely inappropriate in an article, as are any external links, but especially to a sales site. It is similarly inappropriate for you to be repeatedly inserting links in other articles for your website. If you know about this subject and good references for it, you might actually be able to make some constructive contributions, but if all you're here to do is push your book, do that elsewhere as it won't be permitted here. Thank you for your direct and abrupt email. I am not pushing my book. The website has articles on covered bridges and on bridgewrights, free informational podcast episodes, maps, checklists, photos, and videos. Yes the book is for sale on my site but that is not the point of the site. The site is to provide resources for New Hampshire covered bridge enthusiasts as there is nothing else like it put out by the State or anywhere else. I appreciate your feedback on the language used about my submission as I do have constructive contributions. I have a lot of them and would love the opportunity to correct misinformation perpetuated on your site about covered bridges as well as share new information. Just because an article is published on my website and not in a newspaper does not make it credible. In fact, I would argue just the opposite since I have sources. I apologize for going about it the wrong way. I am not here to push my book, despite your harsh perspective. Have a fabulous day and a great holiday. 24.62.4.248 (talk) 14:47, 10 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You're clearly passionate about the subject; if you'd like to contribute and expand on the information available, I'd recommend going through the list of covered bridges in New Hampshire. You can create new articles for bridges that don't have an article yet or clean up/expand on articles that already exist, providing beneficial citations. Just don't do this.-- MacAddct1984 (talk | contribs) 15:41, 10 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. I did create a link to a new article on a bridge and it was removed. 24.62.4.248 (talk) 18:02, 10 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
