While objective prose about beliefs, organisations, people, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Division sign[edit]

Recognising your good faith in making those edits, I felt I should explain a little more.

What you can do legitimately is to report that MW use the symbol in that way and cite it by referring to their notations and abbreviations page.
