I'm calling out a posse, to fight for freedom of choice, to fight all those who think that only their opinion's right, template:user fsm was speedy deleted by an administrator without any cause or even discussion, I'm therefore putting it up for undeletion since people have put a jihad out against opinions in userboxes. As you were one of many people using the template, I'm trying to rally you into the posse. If you think the template should be returned to active status, put in a vote at Wikipedia:Deletion_review/Userbox_debates#template:user_fsm. Janizary 04:26, 22 February 2006 (UTC)

Bad manners

Erm. You read much too far into the anti-EU bit (in my case anyway). I'm not anti-Europe, just anti-EU. I don't believe that the whole of Europe should be under one umbrella, and that is really all the EU is. In doing so, it takes away the identities of nations, and in direct correlation, the identities of millions. Whilst I'm sorry if it offended you, I'd like you to rethink your setiments toward me with the above information provided. If you already knew this, however, well... we're all entitled to our thoughts, but I can name many Europeans who are against the EU. After all, a Brit and a Frechman have completely different views on how their countries should be run. I believe you that you did not want to insult anyone, I just wanted to let you know that you might still do. It would have been obvious to you had you done the same to the US or UK flag which are also kind of umbrella organizations of their states or subregions. The EU started as an economic union that did very much to get prosperity into all parts of the continent that at the time was very diverse in economic and democratic development. It is ok to be against certain aspects of the EU, crossing out the flag is just respectless. You might have noticed that the picture was thus speedy deleted. I did not just want to leave all those users with a red link on their page without knowing why. That in my eyes would have been respectless, even if the alternative was what you call spamming. True, the US, and in a lesser sense, the UK are umbrella organizations, but in those cases it makes sense. Indeed, the EU did start as an economic union, which I have no problem with. However, I don't believe it should be involved in most political decisions... as I illustrated, the ideas of most EU member countries differ greatly, and therefore is not an ideal homogenous entity for it's inhabitants. On crossing out the flag... I thought it was kind of odd myself, but since it was a symbol of the EU, I thought it worked nicely.Vegasrebel29 02:25, 5 March 2006 (UTC)

Again, I am sure you would have behaved in a more respectful way had it been your flag. I know many Americans who are ashamed of their President and would love to segregate if it made sense economically. The majority does not like to have a war criminal running their country. F1 portal featured article

The F1 portal (in which I assume you have some degree of interest, as your name is listed on Wikipedia:WikiProject_Formula_One) is intended to have a regular rotation of a 'featured article'. I've swapped a few in and out over the last couple of months, but I think it would be better if there were more of a community attempt at deciding this, proposals, votes, that kind of thing. Selected articles on Portal:F1

Hello again.

I dropped notes round a while back to those who have listed themselves at Wikipedia:WikiProject_Formula_One to ask for suggestions for selected articles on portal:Formula One. There was a pretty good response, both in terms of how it might work and of articles suggested. Damon Hill came out with the most support and was brought up to Good Article standard after a lot of work by Skully Collins and others before going on as the F1 portal selected article a couple of weeks ago. It is now at Featured Article Candidates as a Featured Article candidate (why not drop by and see if you can help polish it further?).

Several people who responded to the original request suggested that a monthly or bi-weekly 'Selected Article' could act as a catalyst for an improvement drive to get more articles up to a higher standard. Although it wasn't quite what I had in mind when I started, this seemed to work pretty well for the Damon Hill article, so I've drafted up a process for doing this more regularly. See Portal_talk:Formula_One/Management_of_selected_articles for details. Essentially the suggestion is that we vote for an article to improve every couple of weeks and at the end of the improvement process the article goes on the portal as the new 'Selected Article'. I'd be grateful for any comments on how this might work - I'm sure some of you are more familiar with things 'Wiki' than me - as well as your votes for the next candidate (by 16 July).

You may also want to help with the article Gilles Villeneuve, which was the next most popular after Damon Hill. The idea is to try and get it up to GA standard by 16 July and then put it on the portal as the 'Selected Article'. I hope you can help! 4u1e 18:29, 2 July 2006 (UTC)

If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.
