Notability of Thieves of Always[edit]

A tag has been placed on Thieves of Always, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you feel that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Evilclown93 23:19, 3 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

RHCP B-sides[edit]

Look, a b-side is a song that was recorded during the sessions (or "era" as you like to put it) of an album then left off of that album and released at a later date on a single or soundtrack or whatever. Fortune Faded and Save the Population were recorded in their own sessions for the purpose of being released on Greatest Hits. They were recorded for that album and made it onto that album, so they are not b-sides. And Bunker Hill was recorded during the sessions (era) of Californication, making it a Californication b-side, and Eskimo was recorded during By the Way's session (era), read Fortune Faded's page you would've known all that. And I Make My Own Rules is not a RHCP song, it had Flea, Chad, and Dave Navarro yes, but Anthony is nowhere to be found on that song. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by MiTfan3 (talkcontribs) 18:37, 14 February 2007 (UTC).[reply]

I'm wondering what to do at this page. Firstly, it would be nice if you provided an edit summary with each edit. Next, as you blanked the page after creating it, I'm wondering why. If you intend to rewrite it, then go ahead. If you want it deleted then add {{db-author}} to mark it for speedy deletion. If it was simply a test, that is alright, but I would implore you to use the [WP:SB|sandbox]] instead the next time. You may leave me a message on my talk page here.--Vox Rationis 02:01, 17 February 2007 (UTC) (sorry I forgot to sign the last post). Also, it would be nice if you sign each comment you make on talk pages (such as this one or mine)with four tildes. Don't worry about the confusion, it happens...(~~~~).--Vox Rationis 02:01, 17 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thieves Of Always[edit]

The article Thieves Of Always has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article seemed to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.

Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. NawlinWiki 22:02, 4 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Wazoo (album), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the article and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Strictly Genteel, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://globalia.net/donlope/fz/lyrics/compilations/Strictly_Genteel.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot 00:57, 3 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image copyright problem[edit]

Thanks for your uploads. You've indicated that the following images are being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why they meet Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page an image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

The Empyrean[edit]

I'm removing the time listing from "Unreachable" because it is useless. One song's time being listed while the others remain completely empty is not going to help anyone. The entire record will be released in less than two months and a significant amount of information will be then be available. Furthermore, your edit summary-which uses the term "fucking morons"-violates WP:NPA. Please review the guideline before you wish to post derogatory statements such as those. License tagging for Image:Despairomar.jpg[edit]

An article you created maybe deleted soon: Tools which can help you[edit]

The article you created, Despair_(Omar_Rodriguez-Lopez_album) maybe deleted from Wikipedia.

There is an ongoing debate about whether your article should be deleted here:

The faster your respond, the better chance the article you created can be saved. This is because deletion debates only stay open for a few days, and the first comments are usually the most important.

There are several tools and other editors who can help you keep the page from being deleted forever:

  1. You can list the page up for deletion on Article Rescue Squadron. If you need help listing your page, add a comment on the Article Rescue Squadron talk page.
  2. You can request a mentor to help explain to you all of the complex rules that editors use to get a page deleted, here: Wikipedia:Adopt-a-User. But don't wait for a mentor to respond on the deletion page.
  3. When try to delete a page, veteran editors love to use a lot of rule acronyms. Don't let these acronyms intimidate you.
Here is a list of your own acronyms you can use yourself: WP:Deletion debate acronyms which may support the page you created being kept.
Acronyms in deletion debates are sometimes incorrectly used, or ignore rules or exceptions.
  4. You can merge the article into a larger or better established article on the same topic.

If your page is deleted, you still have many options available. Good luck! travb (talk) 22:22, 31 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

File Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading File:AWAMWB.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

A tag has been placed on Omar Rodriguez-Lopez Quartet requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

The article Torn Maps has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Courtesy nomination. Blanked by the original creator, but there are IMHO too many edits by others for a valid G7 CSD.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist.
