This photo doesn't have to be in the public domain in the United States. Irish photos are normally copyrighted unless published before 1923, and the uploader hasn't specified where (if anywhere) the photo was published. Unpublished photos are copyrighted for 120 years since they were taken (if the photographer is unknown) or for 70 years after the death of the photographer (if the photographer is known). The text on the file information page suggests that the photo isn't 120 years old yet. --Stefan2 (talk) 12:13, 18 September 2012 (UTC)

I know you felt very strongly about the manner in which Bishonen was being spoken to (and in fact my stance is much the same as yours), but please try to avoid making personal attacks against other editors, as you appear to have done here. Easy there, Kurtis. You're issuing a personal attack warning for something that happened 6 days ago in which you don't understand. The good Miss is a friend of Ms. Bishonen and the message was delivered and received in that spirit. Just let it go, please. Tex (talk) 14:03, 4 October 2012 (UTC)

Oh, all right. I guess I should have looked at the time stamps before commenting here. It wasn't so much a warning as it was a reminder to try and keep the use of name-calling (even in jest) to a minimum, as it still may fan the flames a bit more than is needed (although, that being said, I fear I may be doing just that by posting here to begin with). Specifically, I didn't especially care for the use of the terms "Flukernutter" and "Flukanut", but on reflection, that's pretty mild compared to a lot of the stuff I see from others (my guess is that Fluffernutter didn't take it all that personally anyways). And on a side note, I think I now know who "The good Miss" actually is, so it's all good. Carry on, friends. =) Kurtis (talk) 02:04, 5 October 2012 (UTC)

Dear Miss Corpus:

Begging your pardon for the interruption, but duty doth require that one note, there exists the possibility that a visigoth may have traversed your Ladyship's property, eliding some of her eloquent words.

  I well know, as do all plain citizens of our Great Commonwealth, that the Lady is fully conversant with the highest, most refined technological wizardry. One must know such things, to rule, after all. However, being as she is a Lady and all, methinks it only proper that she keeps such at arm's length, corresponding in the traditional regal manner, through her trusted and wise functionaries. Now, when I first saw that her Ladyship had received an email, concerning the true parentage of young Master Twenty-Eight Bites, there and then I vowed to pummel any offender, should I be given your leave o'course, who dared suggest such a brash thing.

  There is certainly no doubt the Ladyship could operate a chiclet, rather than her elegant Mont Blanc, being wise and skilled as she is. But might I humbly suggest, that the stalwart personal courier who personally delivered the vellum to her Ladyship's personal household staff, and the confidential scribe that hand-lettered said parchment with the diligence from the garishly glowing screen, whereupon my Ladyship's trusted sysadmin returned to the data-center, would be glad to serve the Lady in whatever capacity required. If there is some geopolitical reason for the Lady to use the colloquial, far above the extent of my petty thinking, as the great oak of the North Lawn is to the grass-clippings far below, then please accept my gruesomely groveling apologies. That said, perhaps this phrase -- "I've just been emailed to say that his name is in some vague way connected to computing" -- might be changed to say " just been couriered an email", if it please yourself and her Ladyship? Your precious time, spent perusing my humble missive, is most appreciated. I remain,
