A tag has been placed on Draft:Pedro Albizu Campos - The Formative Years 1893-1923, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, Verificatur. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Pedro Albizu Campos, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Bbb23 (talk) 12:41, 28 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you Bbb23. At first it was “too promotional.” Now it’s a “conflict of interest.” The “too promotional” request for deletion was never explained nor justified and as I responded to that and awaiting a reply, I’m now replying to a second request for deletion. There is no conflict of interest in promoting the primary source digital materials belonging to Pedro Albizu Campos. The Pedro Albizu Campos Digital Resource Collection promotes Pedro Albizu Campos. It adheres to the purpose of Wikipedia: “….. to provide the public with articles that summarize accepted knowledge, written neutrally and sourced reliably. Readers expect to find neutral articles written independently of their subject, not corporate or personal webpages, or platforms for advertising and self-promotion. Articles should contain only material that complies with Wikipedia's content policies and best practices, and Wikipedians must place the interests of the encyclopedia and its readers above personal concerns. The Pedro Albizu Campos Digital Resource Collection is cataloged in online libraries such as OER Commons: https://oercommons.org/search?f.search=Pedro+Albizu+Campos&f.general_subject=&f.sublevel=&f.alignment_standard=
There are other library and historical information sites in Puerto Rico that recognize the digital resource collection as an educational and research resource-rich of, again, primary resource information of Pedro Albizu Campos. Are we to delete primary resource documented information, archival information, and records of Pedro Albizu Campos because the newly published information does not conform to previously held belief systems? Thank you. Verificatur (talk) 13:22, 28 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hello Bbb23, here is a link that I read prior to engaging in the now questioned article: 05lally.html
In re-reading the article , i think one great solution to any possible confusion would be to rename the article as such: "Pedro Albizu Campos Digital Resource Collection." This perhaps is clearer and less confusing and conforms to how Wikipedia has allowed the use of other digital resource collections on its site. Please advise. Thanks. I can't see where you have responded to the COI query above. Also ping @Bbb23: so he sees the message above Jimfbleak - talk to me? 16:21, 28 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I replied to Bbb23 but it doesn't matter. The page was deleted. Apparently, library digital resource collections on wikipedia are allowed for some and not for others. @Bbb23 This was the reply I wrote explaining why it should not be deleted:
