Speedy deletion of LGBT rights in Bermuda

[edit]

Thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your test worked, and the page that you created has been or soon will be deleted. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the article or have a copy emailed to you. Your recent edits

[edit]

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 23:25, 5 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Invitation to WP:LGBT

[edit]

Hi Vickiloves08, given that you wrote an article on SSM in the EU, I think you might be interested in the LGBT Studies Wikiproject, and you are welcome to join it. We can always use more interested editors! I hope you'll consider it. :) Aleta Sing 18:45, 12 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! I already updated the Same-sex marriage in Wyoming and updated the Utah one. I'll continue to do more. Vickiloves08 (talk) 19:13, 27 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading File:South America SSM.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. — neuro(talk)(review) 16:02, 23 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Dates

[edit]

The problem with using all numbers as dates is that some countries list the month first, then the date, while others list the date first, than the month.

example: 9-11 obviously can refer as September 11, but, in many places, it means November 9. 207.210.134.83 (talk) 18:00, 7 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Good point. The only problem with listing September 11 (ex) is that the countries/regions run into each other. I have another idea that could work, what about (9/11/09) or something along those lines? Perhaps we should start something on the talk page so other can help think of a simple way to resolve this. Lofty threat

[edit]

You wrote in the edit summary that "repeated violators will be blocked", or something along the lines of that. I am not violating anything. I am editing a template. I am going to undo your edit now until you are able to tell me what specifically you do not appreciate about my work. In that case, we will be able to make a compromise. Thank you, obentomusubi 06:02, 8 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The "repeated violators will be blocked" portion was unnecessary, yes but my two cents as one of the reverters; I think that your [obento musubi] new edits to the template makes everything too spread out. Personally, I like it when things are clustered closer together so it leaves more room for the text in the article.
In any case, when you make any major organizational changes to a template, you should usually refer to the template talk page first, especially if it is a highly-trafficked one. A discussion between editors will produce the best possible result and it will avoid edit-warring and unnecessary arguments. Is it OK if I move this discussion over to the template talk page and we can continue this there? --haha169 (talk) 06:27, 8 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I'm personally fine with your moving it to the template talk page. obentomusubi 07:02, 8 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Homosexuality Laws Map

[edit]

On a completely separate note, I've brought up a new proposal at the map's talk page. Would you care to comment on it? Thanks, --haha169 (talk) 06:32, 8 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Template:Polygamy

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Template:Polygamy requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a deprecated or orphaned template. After seven days, if it is still unused and the speedy deletion tag has not been removed, the template will be deleted.

If the template is intended to be substituted, please feel free to remove the speedy deletion tag and please consider putting a note on the template's page indicating that it is substituted so as to avoid any future mistakes (<noinclude>{{transclusionless}}</noinclude>).

Thanks. — This, that, and the other (talk) 02:45, 10 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
