Daniel Diaz (musician) moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Daniel Diaz (musician), is not suitable as written to remain published. It appears there is a WP:UPE or WP:COI conflict. Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, and have addressed the UPE/COI issue, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. As per WP policy, please do not move into mainspace yourself. Onel5969 TT me 09:22, 31 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, thanks for your message, please tell what's the COI issue exactly?
I'm a bit confused about the actual draft location, I just looked on
User:Vicpaz/Daniel_Diaz_(musician)
(this is where I've been building the article before moving it to main) and there's nothing there...
Thanks!

Hi @Vicpaz, I reckon this can now be accepted, as you have obviously tried to take account of the advice given by previous reviewers. Two things: first, if you can add the date and place of birth of the subject, and also put the appropriate birth catagories at the bottom, that would be helpful. Second, there seems to be some uncertainty about whether to use the accent: Diaz or Díaz. If the subject has not decided to use a different spelling, please use the birth name. If the subject uses the spelling without the accent as a stage name, use that throughout. Doric Loon (talk) 12:56, 15 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you!
I'm glad this is finally accepted.
The accent issue is complicated, not that he chose to use his last name without the accent, but his career in the USA and other non Spanish-speaking countries (albums and press) don't use the accent just because they don't have it in the computer keyboard!
His labels in the USA and German used Diaz on the cover artwork, but when he releases on his own or with "Latin" labels, the accent is included. (The family name Díaz doesn't exist in Spain without the accent)
So there's no consistent use of the accent, but, as this is the English article I will just use the no-accent version and add his full birth name with accents and all. (as per Wikidata) in the Infobox. Also I'll grab from Wikidata the birth date.(And add the birth category accordingly)
Thanks again, kind regards
