September 2017[edit]

Information icon Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. [1] GermanJoe (talk) 14:16, 27 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Your mail - reliable sources[edit]

Hello Vikaskukreja83, thank you for your mail and the clarification. I hope you don't mind an answer here, most conversation about Wikipedia-related issues is usually done on public forums to provide some transparency and to allow other editors to add to the discussion (of course except private and confidential issues). Regarding reliable sources: please make sure to read through WP:RS, this link should provide all information about Wikipedia's requirements for such sources. Some relevant aspects are: a reliable source should have 1) experienced and professional authors who are clearly attributed 2) a common reputation of fact-checking and reliable publishing 3) some information about their expertise, methodology and sources. Most personal websites, blogs and other non-professional internet projects fail these criteria. The usage of commercial sites is also discouraged, as such sites are often only promoting their own products and are primarily interested in sales, not in accurate information. Hope these general pointers are helpful - you'll find a lot better and more detailed explanation in the linked WP:RS guideline. Best regards. GermanJoe (talk) 15:39, 27 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of FactEntry[edit]

Hello Vikaskukreja83,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged FactEntry for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly indicate why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!
