Short description length

Hello @Vincentvikram: I wanted to let you know the rationale behind a minor edit on the article Stan Swamy. Previously, I had edited the short description from "Indian Roman Catholic priest and tribal rights activist (1937–2021)" to "Indian priest and activist (1937–2021)". You reverted the edit, saying the previous description was more accurate. While I agree that the previous description was accurate, I changed it for a different reason: the length. As can be seen here, Wikipedia short descriptions should not be much greater than 40 characters: Wikipedia:Short description#Formatting. As such, I was shortening the description to comply with that guideline. I'm sorry I did not put this rationale in my initial edit, but the tool which makes it convenient to change short descriptions does not easily allow for edit comments, outside of the automatically generated one. Articles for Creation July 2021 Backlog Elimination Drive

WikiProject Articles for creation is holding a month long Backlog Drive!
