Discussion for 2009

Please look at the talk page and my edit summary. Thanks. --NeilN talkcontribs 03:47, 27 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No problem. That article needs a lot of work and I look forward to your improvements. May I suggest reviewing WP:NOTGUIDE? It might help you structure your changes. --NeilN talkcontribs 03:56, 27 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Really good job on taking the cruft out of the article. --NeilN talkcontribs 03:47, 28 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Shot Online Putting.gif

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Shot Online Putting.gif. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. J Milburn (talk) 09:40, 28 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Where has this image been released into the public domain? Could you provide a link? J Milburn (talk) 09:51, 28 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I've expanded the rationale a bit and will contact the original uploader now. Thanks for letting me know about archiving, it's the kind of thing I forget to do... J Milburn (talk) 10:08, 28 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Well, I'm now satisfied with the rationale, so I don't see any reason it should remain a candidate for deletion. As for the other image, if the image that the user uploaded in the first place was public domain (which is possible, though, from experience, I would say not likely) then that does not necessarily mean that the larger version would be- I will revert back to the original image and contact the original uploader now. J Milburn (talk) 11:29, 28 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I see the smaller version is actually too small to be of use- if an image showing the environment is needed (and there is significant discussion of the in-game environment in the article) I reccomend that you upload a larger image (but still smaller than it would be in-game) under a claim of fair use. I am going to delete the image now as a possible copyright violation, and too small to be of use anyway. J Milburn (talk) 11:38, 28 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ron Paul has been nominated for a featured article review. Articles are typically reviewed for two weeks. Please join the discussion on whether this article meets the featured quality. If substantial concerns are not addressed during the review period, the article will be moved to the Featured Article Removal Candidates list for a further period, where editors may declare "Keep" or "Remove" the article's featured status. The instructions for the review process are here. Reviewers' concerns are here. --Andrew Kelly (talk) 05:19, 13 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Since you commented the article in it's first AfD, it has since come under a second AfD. I was wondering if you'd like to comment on this one as well: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Nadya Suleman (2nd nomination). Thanks! — raeky (talk | edits) 03:14, 5 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

END OF DISCUSSION

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. 4. Real-Time Recent Changes App for Android
  5. Shortcut for patrollers to last changes list

Further, there are more than 20 proposals related to Watchlists in general that you may be interested in reviewing. (and over 260 proposals in all, across many aspects of wikis)

Thank you for your consideration. Please note that voting for proposals continues through December 12, 2016.

Note: You received this message because you have transcluded {{User wikipedia/RC Patrol}} (user box) on your user page. Since this message is "one-time-only" there is no opt out for future mailings.
