Links[edit]

If you take a look at Wikipedia:External links#Links normally to be avoided, the following are the reasons you may see the link you're including removed:

1 - Any site that does not provide a unique resource beyond what the article would contain if it became a Featured article. 2 - Links mainly intended to promote a website

Primarily the second one - as it appears you are affiliated with the bookstore that runs the site to which you are linking. This can be considered both advertising and a conflict of interest. On another page, specifically the Comparative religion page, it just doesn't fit the page and even if it had not had the appearance of advertising, would not have been an appropriate addition to the page.

However, that Mysticism page does need improvement, specifically editing and rewriting. If there is anything you can do to improve the article content, please do.

Also, just as a FYI - if you're leaving an article on an article's talk page or on somebody's talk page, you can sign your user name with 4 ~'s - while these aren't used in article pages because they would be a distraction, they're very useful. Don't worry about the talk page for Mysticism - there is a bot that will add signatures if you forget, but it's just considered good form to do so. (copied from the Mysticism talk page) Hi Virginia - I'm sorry for the delay, but I've been away from a computer for since late Sunday my time and when I saw your message I wanted to make sure I read all the pages in your link carefully before responding. What I'm not finding is that the link is to a unique resource for this article. That said, I did paste the link below my message here on the talk page - if another editor wants to review it as well and provide their input as to whether or not it should be included, I'm more than happy to have them do so. Re: your last message[edit]

That's fine - I have the talk page on my watch list, so I'll see pretty quickly if someone edits the talk page. Lcarscad (talk) 04:00, 2 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
