Information icon Hello! Thank you for your recent contributions to JetPrivilege. I did have one note for you. I am working on a maintenance project to clean up Category:Pages using infoboxes with thumbnail images. In the future, please do not use thumbnails when adding images to an infobox (see WP:INFOBOXIMAGE). What does this mean? Well in the infobox, when you specify the image you wish to use, instead of doing it like this:

|image=[[File:SomeImage.jpg|thumb|Some image caption]]

Instead just supply the name of the image. So in this case you can simply do:

|image=SomeImage.jpg.

There will then be a separate parameter for the image caption such as |caption=Some image caption. Please note that this is a generic form message I am leaving on your page because you recently added a thumbnail to an infobox. The specific parameters for the image and caption may be different for the infobox you are using! Please consult the Template page for the infobox being used to see better documentation. Thanks!! Speedy deletion nomination of JetPrivilege

[edit]

Hello Vishwanath7,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged JetPrivilege for deletion, because it seems to be promotional, rather than an encyclopedia article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Onel5969 TT me 12:13, 14 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, thanks for message. The presence of other articles doesn't really help you. Either they meet our criteria or they should be deleted too. I had a quick look at the articles. I do not accept that Smiles S.A. and Club Premier had excessive detail, and I've heavily cut MileagePlus. I deleted your article because

  • it did not provide adequate independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that it meets the notability guidelines. Sources that are not acceptable include those linked to the company, press releases, social media and other sites that can be self-edited, blogs, websites of unknown or non-reliable provenance, and sites that are just reporting what the company claims or interviewing its management. Many of your refs appear not to be genuinely independent third party sources , but to be reporting press releases or what the management say. At least one site appears to be a spam site that wouldn't show content unless I disabled Adblock, which I obviously didn't do
  • There is little to show that this is actually notable. No financial details, nothing about number of employees and a claim of millions of members clearly originating from the company
  • it was written in a promotional tone. Articles must be neutral and encyclopaedic. The draft reviewer said "Clear advertising in what would only be advertised to clients and that's unsuitable here because we are not a business webhost", and I see little to disagree with in that. It's all about what is being "offered" (="sold")
  • If you have a conflict of interest when editing this article, you must declare it. In articular, if you work directly or indirectly for the company, or otherwise are acting on its behalf, you are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing. Regardless, if you are paid directly or indirectly by the company you are writing about, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Vishwanath7. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Vishwanath7|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If you are being compensated, please provide the required disclosure. Note that editing with a COI is discouraged, but permitted as long as it is declared. Concealing a COI can lead to a block.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Ishan Shivanand requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Notice

The article Avdhoot Shivanand has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Individual is of doubtful notability; press coverage has brief mentions, but little substantive material. Also, article is promotional in nature.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
