Timeline of Spaceflight by Nationality[edit]
The Czech Republic was not included in that image because Vladimir Remek did not have Czech citizenship at the time of his launch, he had Czechoslovak citizenship. He is a Czech citizen with Czech ethnicity, but this page reflects nationality at time of launch. I have suggested adding an inset to the image depicting Eastern Europe with Cold War borders in order to show that Czechoslovakia, East and West Germany, and the Soviet Union had space travelers, but I do not have the skill to do that. If you would like to give it a try, please do so, and we can include that image. However, it would need to remain in svg format for ease of editing, not png.
