Cleanup Taskforce

[edit]

Are you able to make any progress on the articles on your desk? Are they done and ready to be closed? (Or should they be reassigned and new articles put on your desk?) Thank you. RJFJR 17:13, 7 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Speaking of the Taskforce, I added Hindu deities to your desk. It's been sitting in the cleanup queue for a while. I don't think it needs a lot of actual work, just some tidying up. --Kerowyn Leave a note 23:52, 25 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

I have no idea what your talking about on my page...?? I have just logged in today after a long while of not being on, because I had an email saying I had requested my password (which I had not!) So... Yeah.. Anyhow. I have no idea what your talking about. Please explain. Redcrystal 09:49, 30 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Telugu vowel chart

[edit]

Greetings. I'd love to make one for you, but I'm unable to find any information on the relative placements of Telugu's vowels within the conceptual "vowel space". I'll ask a couple of phoneticians I know and see if any of them can turn up any further information. IceKarma 17:14, 10 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Pokiri

[edit]

I agree with you completely - however, it'll have to go through WP:PROD at least. I've put a msg. on Talk:Pokiri. btw, you have a fan/impostor User:VyzaSatya - I am blocking him. --Gurubrahma 13:17, 25 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Telugu perspective

[edit]

Hi. Thanks for your compliment. Feel free to add any topics you may have from Telugu perspective, but please provide citations and references that can be verified. I have brought out just about everything I can about Telugu literature etc (main article). Also while adding new perspectives, please make sure original stuff I have put in is not removed but only added to, since my info is well cited.

Concordia Newsletter

[edit]

NEWSLETTER

Concordia is currently trying to relaunch. I, and all the members of the ex-council, wish to welcome new members to the group. We are a group who aim to promote remaining civil, in an environment where messages can easily be interpretated wrongly.

Help out now!

[edit]
  • Try and help people remain civil! Talk to them, and help them in any way possible. Do not be afraid to use the talk page.
  • Give people the Civility Barnstar.
  • Make and spread some Wikitokens so people know there are people to help if they want assistance.
  • Add banners or logos to your userpage to show your support.
  • Suggest some ideas! Add 'em to the talk page.

We are a community, so can only work though community contributions and support. It's the helping that counts.

Decision Making

[edit]

The council expired one month ago, but due to the current position of the group the current council will remain until the position of the group can be assessed, and whether it would be sensible to keep Concordia going. For most decisions, however, it will be decided by all who choose to partake in discussions. I am trying to relaunch because of the vast amounts of new members we have received, demonstrating that the aims are supported.

If you wish to opt of of further talk-page communications, just let us know here.

An image or media file that you uploaded or altered, Image:2005 October 29 Delhi Bomb blasts map.png, has been listed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. Please look there to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Greetings. You are receiving this boilerplate notice because you have a task on your Cleanup Taskforce desk that has not been updated for over 30 days. If you do not wish to complete this task please assign it to another active Cleanup Taskforce member who has space on their desk. If you do not wish to receive cleanup requests on your desk any more, you may remove yourself from the membership list. If you or someone else has completed the task, you can close it by adding {{cleanup taskforce closed|ARTICLE NAME HERE}} to the article's talk page and removing it from Wikipedia:Cleanup Taskforce. If you have a status update (e.g. you intend to work on it in the future) or need help, you can update the collaboration page (which is linked from your desk). Also feel free to reply to the person who left you this message. -- Otheus 21:57, 11 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, i have just deleted on commons Image:Nilgai distribution map.gif, as the email permission doesn't refer about commercial use / derivative works and is unlikely to be accepted. Would you mind reasking the permission using an email template?

Thanks

Image permission problem with Image:Nandamuri Balakrishna.jpeg

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:Nandamuri Balakrishna.jpeg, which you've sourced to http://www.nbkfans.com/. I noticed that that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the image (or other media file) agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the GFDL or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the image to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the image has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the image's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Images lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sherool (talk) 16:29, 4 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:Nilgai distribution map.gif

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Nilgai distribution map.gif. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 15:19, 18 March 2010 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. IngerAlHaosului (talk) 15:19, 18 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
