In a Lodge / As a Lodge[edit]

Fraternal greetings Bro. Ken. I found your brief comment on the Freemasonry talk page interesting. In NY, they specifically state that "The word lodge is analogous to congregation, and refers not so much to the place of assemblage as to the persons there assembled." Even so, most of the brothers do (incorrectly) use the word to mean both the building and the meeting. From what you say, the GL of Texas has offically endorsed both usages. Is that correct? Or is it just something that is common usage, as it is in NY. Blueboar 23:12, 6 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
