Information icon Thanks for contributing to the article Morton S. Wolf. However, one of Wikipedia's core policies is that material must be verifiable and attributed to reliable sources. You have recently used citations which copied, or mirrored, material from Wikipedia. This leads to a circular reference and is not acceptable. Most mirrors are clearly labeled as such, but some are in violation of our license and do not provide the correct attribution. Please help by adding alternate sources to the article you edited! If you need any help or clarification, you can look at Help:Contents/Editing Wikipedia or ask at Wikipedia:New contributors' help page, or just ask me. Thank you. Information icon Thank you for contributing to the article Taunting. However, please do not use unreliable sources such as blogs, wikis, personal websites, and websites and publications with a poor reputation for checking the facts or with no editorial oversight. These sources may express views that are widely acknowledged as pushing a particular point-of-view, sometimes even extremist, being promotional in nature, or relying heavily on rumors and personal opinions. One of Wikipedia's core policies is that contributions must be verifiable through reliable sources, preferably using inline citations. If you require further assistance, please look at Help:Menu/Editing Wikipedia, or ask at the Teahouse. Thank you. MrOllie (talk) 12:54, 12 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop. If you continue to add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. Hey MrOllie, Thank you for contacting me, while I am not aware of which external link you are referring, would you please mention the page where I added external link. I always try my best to find a best and very suitable source for citation, but sometimes it can be against the Wikipedia editorial policy, as I am new to Wikipedia and not fully aware of the nature of external links, but next time I will double check the source is reliable to Wikipedia or not. Circular reference?

[edit]

It is mentioned here that the citation was mirror or circular, but honestly telling I am not sure what does it mean. Wahido4848 (talk) 11:49, 11 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Many other websites copy material from Wikipedia. You cannot use those websites to source material here, since it's just a copy of our articles. Does that make sense? Sam Kuru (talk) 11:51, 11 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Understood, thank you Wahido4848 (talk) 12:34, 11 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I guess not. The source you added here notes "Wikipedia" in the title, and credits the Wikimedia Foundation. The source you added here very clearly notes "From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia". Again, please slow down and carefully evaluate the sources you are adding. This includes avoiding sources that are user-generated or commercial content marketing blogs. I am sorry for the for being rough in editing Wikipedia article,as I am new to Wikipedia editing, but I will make sure, next time I will thoroughly evaluate each edit in Wikipedia. Wahido4848 (talk) 15:36, 13 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
